Week 14 Fantasy Rankings: Aaron Rodgers and Top Plays at Each Position

Tim KeeneyDec 11, 2011

If you own all of these guys, then congratulations are in order. It's likely you're in the fantasy playoffs, and it's likely that you'll win this week.

However, that also probably means you don't need to read this because you don't have a lot of tough decisions to make.

This is, on the other hand, a guide for those tough salary-cap league decisions where you can choose any ol' player you want.

QB: Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers

The Oakland Raiders have actually been pretty stingy against the pass in the last three games, allowing just 189 yards per game. It turns out, however, that Christian Ponder, Caleb Hanie and Matt Moore are not Aaron Rodgers.

A-Rodge is the top quarterback each week, regardless of the situation or opponent. Heck, he's the top quarterback even if he's on a bye.

Matthew Stafford against the Vikings and Cam Newton hosting the Falcons are good options, but never turn your back on Rodgers. He's just too consistent.

RB: Marshawn Lynch, Seattle Seahawks

If you think a guy like Marshawn Lynch, who loves Skittles and the spotlight as much as he does, won't shine in the national spotlight on Monday night, you've got another thing coming.

Lynch has been downright nasty in his last five games, averaging 118 rushing yards and scoring six times. In fact, the Skittles master has scored in his last eight games, and I wouldn't bet on that streak coming to an end.

What's more, the Seahawks are at home, and they face a Rams defense that has given up 200 yards rushing twice this season and is allowing a league-worst 158 rushing yards per game.

It's a dream matchup.

Ray Rice against the Colts should come in a close second.

WR: Calvin Johnson, Detroit Lions

During the last four weeks, Megatron has "only" pulled in 72 yards per game and one touchdown.

I realize that he constantly draws double and triple teams, but you just can't contain this guy for that long. I'm betting this is the week he finally breaks out again.

The Vikings are giving up 252 passing yards per game, which is sixth worst in the NFL. Detroit is at home and reeling and thus might open it up a little bit more, and Megatron had a cool 108-yard, two-touchdown performance last time he faced the Vikes.

Bingo.
