TNA Final Resolution: Predicting TNA's Final PPV of the Year

Kyle SchadlerDec 10, 2011

Tonight TNA Wrestling presents Final Resolution, their final pay-per-view of the year.

For this show they have scheduled eight matches, five of which are title matches.

TNA has been going quite strong over the past few months and there is no sign of stopping.

The company looks to end 2011 with a bang and it looks like Final Resolution can do it!

Rob Van Dam vs. Christopher Daniels

1 of 8

These two had a match after Bound for Glory that Rob Van Dam won by disqualification. They then had a match at Turning Point where Van Dam picked up the victory.

The feud has been somewhat ignored by TNA.

A few weeks ago Van Dam got a shot at the Television Championship and Daniels cost him the match. That's all the feud has really gotten.

This past Thursday Daniels talked about the rivalry backstage and that's it.

What I get from that is that TNA doesn't really care about this feud and it's just a way to keep the two busy until creative comes up with something better.

Since Rob Van Dam won the match at Turing Point, I think we'll be seeing Christopher Daniels winning here.

Winner: Christopher Daniels.

James Storm vs. Kurt Angle

2 of 8

On the Impact Wrestling after Bound for Glory, James Storm realized his dream. He defeated Kurt Angle for the TNA World Championship and the fans loved it.

His dream was cut short, though, when his partner Bobby Roode turned heel and took the title away from him.

Before his scheduled rematch, someone attacked Storm backstage and left him covered in blood and with a concussion.

It was soon revealed to be Angle attacked him because he was pissed that Storm beat him for the title. Since then the two have had a war of words with neither wrestler one-upping the other.

This past Thursday, though, Storm showed up Angle in some of the best mic work I have ever seen him do.

Tonight these two finally go one-on-one and it will be an all-out war.

I think James Storm will be picking up the win here. Post-match, Kurt Angle will go on the attack which will set up another match at next month’s Genesis.

Winner: James Storm

Jeff Hardy vs. Jeff Jarrett: Steel Cage Match

3 of 8

If Jeff Jarrett wins, Jeff Hardy is gone from TNA. If Hardy wins, he gets a shot at the TNA World Heavyweight Championship at Genesis. Karen Jarrett will be handcuffed to Sting.

At the TNA Victory Road PPV, Jeff Hardy screwed up big time. He embarrassed himself, the company, the business, and the fans that supported him throughout the years.

He disappeared from TNA for awhile before returning in September. His first order of business was to apologize to the fans.

The crowd was quick to forgive him, but there were some that didn't buy his act just yet.

Some of the wrestlers in the back told him to go to hell while others ended up forgiving him. The founder of TNA, Jeff Jarrett, outright told Hardy to just pack up and never return.

It led to many brawls between the two last month.

At Turning Point we saw the two finally go at it. Hardy surprised Jarrett and pinned him not once, but three times. Jarrett couldn't believe it and that fueled his rage towards Hardy.

It continued to produce many brawls between them as well as a few matches.

After Jarrett screwed Hardy in a match a few weeks ago, Sting made this match and decided that Karen Jarrett would be handcuffed to him to ensure she didn't get involved in some way.

This past Thursday on Impact Wrestling we saw the team of Hardy and A.J. Styles defeat Jarrett and Bobby Roode.

The Jeff's didn't stay until the end of the match, though, as they ended up brawling to the back.

Dixie Carter revealed on Twitter on Saturday that Sting added another stipulation. If Jarrett loses, either he or his wife will be fired.

Who will win? I highly doubt Jeff Hardy will be leaving TNA, and while I don't think he deserves a title shot so soon, I think the Charismatic Enigma will be winning this!

Winning: Jeff Hardy

Robbie E vs. Eric Young: Television Title

4 of 8

Eric Young and Robbie E have been feuding over the title for a while now.

Robbie had failed multiple times in his quest to become the champion but at Turning Point he was finally able to defeat Eric Young and win the title.

The two have still been feuding, the most notable event being the turkey suit challenge.

Tonight Eric Young gets his rematch and I honestly don't care. Until the title can get away from all of the comedy I won't care too much about it.

The belt has the potential to become a legit mid-card title that could be a stepping stone to the World Championship.

Until TNA does that, though, I'm not going to care.

As for the winner, I'm going with Robbie E. While his character is ridiculous it at least has the potential to become serious.

Winner and Still Champion: Robbie E

Matt Morgan and Crimson vs. Devon and D'Angelo Dinero: Tag Team Titles

5 of 8

The team of Matt Morgan and Crimson has been a complicated one.

They started out as friends with a common enemy. They both battled Samoa Joe for a couple of months but once that feud ended they turned their sights on each other.

Crimson was undefeated and Morgan was of the same size and power of as him. The fans wanted to know if Crimson could defeat the Blueprint so the match was made for Turning Point.

It was an intense battle that ended in a double disqualification.

They were equally as good and Sting recognized that. He turned them into a team and gave them a shot at the Tag Team Championship.

They defeated then-champions Mexican America, then squashed them in their rematch.

Jump to a few weeks later and Devon and D'Angelo Dinero won a No. 1 contender's match that also featured Mexican America and Ink Inc.

This past Thursday on Impact Wrestling the two teams ended up brawling in the ring. That saw Devon's sons get involved at the request if Dinero, and Devon wasn't too happy.

This match should be interesting.

It's way too early to take the titles off of the champions so they'll be winning here. I think Devon's kids will end up costing their father and Dinero the match.

Winners and Still Champions: Matt Morgan and Crimson

Austin Aries vs. Kid Kash: X-Division Title

6 of 8

These two started out as allies but their alliance didn't last too long. Austin Aries' “win at all costs” attitude has screwed over Kid Kash on many occatsions.

At Turning Point Kash had the chance to become the X-Division champion once again but he had to contend with Jesse Sorenson as well. Kash did most of the work and beat down Sorenson.

Just when Sorenson was down and out, Aries rolled up Kash to retain his title.

During tag-team matches, Aries has left Kash to fend for himself.

Kash clearly has had enough. As the “greatest man who ever lived” said that he had defeated everyone and that there was no competition left in TNA, Kash made his way to the ring.

He was sick and tired of Aries' actions and wanted his head. Kash challenged him for the title and they shook hands.

They both took a swing at each other, and both connected, but Kash sent Aries to the mat.

Kid Kash hasn't held the title since 2003 but he seems to have a new passion inside of him.

These two should have a good match but Kash's new passion won't be enough to defeat the greatest X-Division star TNA has seen in years.

Winner and Still Champion: Austin Aries

Gail Kim vs. Mickie James: Knockout's Title

7 of 8

No one was surprised to see Gail Kim return to TNA. Quite a few were surprised, though, when she won the title so quickly.

As Karen Jarrett's muscle, Karen has become more powerful.

Over the past few weeks she has been demeaning the Knockout's. At first she wanted them to wear more appropriate attire, but when they didn't, she booked six of them to wrestle in their lingerie.

The women of TNA Wrestling weren't too happy with that.

They also weren't too happy when Karen made them wash a car in bikinis.

Those punishments were very appealing to the eyes of the male audience, but quite insulting to fans who know the Knockout's can wrestle and have great matches.

Karen has been running things her way and there's no sign of her stopping.

The division has one hope, though, and that's Mickie James. Being the No. 1 contender, Mickie threatens Karen's reign at the top. If she can take the title away from Gail then the Knockout's will gain some leverage over the vice-president of the division.

Karen knows this and has sent ODB and Madison Rayne to take her out before the match. Both have failed and Mickie still stands tall.

These two women should have a great match and should show that there is hope for the division.

As for the winner, I think that Karen’s reign of terror will last a little longer.

Winner and Still Champion: Gail Kim

Bobby Roode vs. A.J. Styles: 30-Minute Iron Man Match for the TNA World Title

8 of 8

When Bobby Roode lost to Kurt Angle at Bound for Glory he didn't live up to the hype. Everyone thought he would win the title but he failed.

Something snapped in his brain and he turned on his best friend and tag-team partner James Storm, who had just defeated Angle for the title. With a beer bottle to the skull, Roode became the new world champion.

The first person to step up to get Roode to stop his evil way was A.J. Styles. At Turning Point Styles had the chance to take the title away from Roode but he came up short.

On the following episode of Impact Wrestling, Sting decided to give Styles another chance, this time in a 30-minute iron man match.

Ever since then Roode has been taking cheap shots and has been attacking Styles from behind.

This past Thursday on Impact Wrestling Styles finally seemed to gain some momentum when he and Jeff Hardy defeated Roode and Jeff Jarrett in a tag-team match.

All was well and good until Roode attacked him from behind while he was celebrating.

Bobby Roode has all the momentum going into this match and with Styles' leg injury he sustained during the match, the odds are in favor of the champion.

This match should be a great one. I'll go as far as to say this will be a five-star showcase.

As for the winner, I think it's too early to take the title off of Roode. He makes a great heel and is over with the crowd as one.

Taking the title off of him at this point could kill his heat. While A.J. Styles no doubt deserves the title, he won't be getting here.

Winner and Still Champion: Bobby Roode
