Kansas City Chiefs vs. New York Jets: Live Score, Video and Analysis

Farzin VousoughianDec 11, 2011

The New York Jets had complete control of this game.

Mark Sanchez scored on the opening drive of the game on a bootleg to help the Jets score first over the Kansas City Chiefs. The Jets never looked back and went full steam ahead.

Sanchez had four total touchdowns on Sunday. He threw a touchdown pass to Santonio Holmes and LaDainian Tomlinson. Sanchez also scored on the ground for the second time to help the Jets take a demanding lead.

The Jets defense also shined by sacking Tyler Palko five times. Jim Leonhard picked off Palko at one point in the game, but it came at a high price.

The only dark moment for the Jets was the loss of Leonhard, who was taken out of the game and was sent to the locker room on a cart. Leonhard suffered an ankle injury after the play and was not able to walk on it. No announcement has been made, but it appears that his season could be over.

The Chiefs chances of winning the AFC West is evaporating as they are forced to win out while the Oakland Raiders and the Denver Broncos are required to lose out in order for the Chiefs to win the division.

The Jets are still in the running to win the AFC East. If the New England Patriots take the East, the Jets still have a legitimate shot at earning one of two wild-card spots.

Final score: Jets 37-10
