TNA: Major Stipulation Just Added to Hardy-Jarrett Match at Final Resolution

Erik BeastonDec 10, 2011

According to the official Facebook account of TNA President Dixie Carter, a major stipulation has just been added to the steel cage match between Jeff Hardy and Jeff Jarrett.

"

Sting just called me with an additional stipulation for the Jeff Jarrett vs Jeff Hardy cage match tomorrow night at our Final Resolution pay-per-view. He said if Jarrett loses, either he OR Karen will be fired. I was really looking forward to this match tomorrow, now I can't wait. Sting continues to impress...

"

This is a major development and leaves one to wonder when the decision was made. The match has the potential, with so many stipulations surrounding it, to become one of the company's typical overbooked contests. Now, it appears as though at least one highly-visible character on the Impact Wrestling broadcast will be no more by the end of this Sunday's pay-per-view.

Jeff Jarrett has been linked to the new, and secretive, India project the company has been developing. Jeff Hardy is the company's most popular babyface and a major merchandise mover who, to this point, has remained clean and has himself in a better place than he has to this point in his TNA career. Karen Jarrett has just recently taken over as the head of the Knockouts division.

That said, all signs point to Jarrett being the recipient of the pink slip at Final Resolution. That does not mean that is necessarily the case. TNA is synonymous with swerving its fans and either of the other two outcomes is possible.

At any rate, the stipulation creates interest in the match, and, considering the huge Hardy fanbase, may lead to a few extra pay-per-view buys.
