WWE TLC 2011: Dolph Ziggler Should Do Double Duty for the Third Show in a Row

The Doctor Chris MuellerDec 10, 2011

Last Monday night Dolph Ziggler came very close to being added to the TLC match for the WWE title, which would have given him his third PPV in a row with two matches on the card.

As of right now Ziggler is only slated to face off against Ryder for his US title, but there is still a small possibility he could play into the WWE title match.

It is no secret that WWE has a lot of faith in Ziggler's ability given that his recent matches have been against current and former world champions.

Last night on SmackDown he took Orton to the limit, but Orton ended up hitting the RKO and getting the pin with only two seconds left in the beat the clock challenge.

The last several weeks we have been seeing Ziggler on both Raw and SmackDown, and each time we see him he is having great matches and delivering entertaining promos.

WWE would not necessarily have to give Ziggler the win in the WWE title match to include him. He has proven he can help put on a good show in ladder matches, plus it would up his exposure.

Every week it looks as if WWE is putting more and more on Ziggler and each week he responds by rising to the challenge.

If I was Vince McMahon I would be thanking my lucky stars that Ziggler did not quit after being sent back to developmental twice before finally becoming a fixture on the main brands because this is a kid who is ready and willing to help carry the company for years to come.

He is sort of like the Miz in that his passion for the business is evident by his work ethic, and it has not gone unnoticed by management.

Adding Ziggler to the match with Punk, Miz and Del Rio would make for a very entertaining Fatal 4 Way TLC match for the WWE title.

I have grown into a big Dolph Ziggler fan over the last year because he has proven that he is as good in the ring as the guys who have most of the spotlight. He may have even shown he is better than some at the top.

Between Ziggler, Bryan, Rhodes and several other young talents, WWE has put together a roster of wrestlers who can put on a show in the ring and still fit the WWE mold.

Sometimes it seems that when someone is elevated to main event status they start using their own version of the five moves of doom because that is what gets fans excited.

With Ziggler it is his creativity and versatility in the ring which makes fans get on their feet and chant "This is Wrestling!"

If he is not added to the WWE Title match at TLC I still hope he makes some sort of impact.

He deserves a shot at carrying a major title more than some of the guys who have been given that shot and failed to live up to expectations over the past two years, I will not name names but you can probably guess who I mean.

What do you think of the idea of WWE adding everyone's favorite "#HEEL" to the WWE title match at TLC? (Using a Twitter reference in a non sarcastic way just killed me a little bit inside.)
