WWE SmackDown: David Otunga Has Yet Another Great Match; Why All the Hate?
WWE SmackDown was last night, and I really enjoyed the program. A lot happened, with plenty being saved for the WWE TLC event next weekend.
Sheamus, Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, Wade Barrett, Mark Henry and others all carried the show. They were the highlights for the Blue Brand, and most attention was shown on them. However, one man had yet another great performance. Who is the unsung hero from the past two weeks on SmackDown?
David Otunga!

Fresh Backstage WWE Rumors 👊

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Yes, I am serious. This man had a great street fight last week with Randy Orton. This week, he had a very enjoyable match against Sheamus. Two top names. Two nice matches with Otunga.
Yet, what happens? Nothing but hate on this man. It reminds me of Mark Henry many months ago when I began trying to gather members for the bandwagon. Nobody jumped on. They all stood on John Morrison and his Titanic ride!
I am not here proclaiming Otunga to be the next big thing, but his work has been superb recently. It deserves come mention, and I am the man to do that.
Truth be told, I loved his work on the first season of NXT. Him and Barrett owned the entire show on Tuesday nights, and it is nice to see them both with success at the end of 2011.
Also, I am not going to lie. When he broke out as a tag team with Michael, I did find them to be bland. When Jerry Lawler ripped them on commentary, a lot of it was true. Not all of it, but some of it was!
Not that he is carrying around his coffee mug as the "Attorney at Raw," he is doing a wonderful job again on WWE TV! Not only are his backstage segments fun, his work inside the ring has now began to pick up. He already has the "it" factor, unlike Morrison. His potential is slowly showing...
As I mentioned above, he has now had two great matches in a row for the Blue Brand. He may not be my favorite, but give the man some props!
I am not proclaiming the guy to be the next World champion. I am not calling for this man to win the 2012 Royal Rumble. I am not even asking for him to start winning matches and get a nice push.
All I am asking for is an explanation on why such negativity towards the man? Is it because of his other half (Jennifer Hudson)? Is it because of his limited skills inside the ring (not a big factor in this business)? Is it because of his bow tie (sharp dressed man)?
What is it? Give the man his due and see what the future holds. I am a fan of his, and he has yet to make me think otherwise. Here is to wishing David Otunga has another great week in WWE!
