NFL Week 14 Picks: Obituary Notice for Teams Sure To Be Buried

The following four teams will see their 2011 seasons all but end on Sunday with losses:

Arizona Cardinals

It seems a little crazy, but at 5-7, the Cardinals sit just two wins back of the Falcons, Lions and Bears in the NFC wild-card chase. While a long shot, Arizona hasn't officially played its way out of playoff contention. On Sunday against San Francisco, that should all change.

The 49ers vaunted defense will shut down Beanie Wells on the ground and get after Kevin Kolb on 3rd-and-long. A few plays from Alex Smith should be enough to send the Cardinals to 5-8.

Philadelphia Eagles

Mathematically, the Eagles could win their final four games of the season and still make the playoffs. We know that either the Giants or Cowboys will finish the season with at least eight wins, but a total collapse from both teams leaves the possibility open for the Eagles—as they currently stand—to sneak in.

But after a loss in Miami this weekend, those chances will go out the window. A ninth loss ensures that the Eagles won't be making the playoffs this season.

Buffalo Bills

Say what you want about their midseason struggles, but the Bills have had a successful season in terms of meeting expectations set for the team before the season. Still, the Bills' minuscule chances of getting back into the playoff race will end in San Diego. Buffalo's Swiss cheese defense won't be able to handle a Chargers offense that has all its weapons healthy.

Kansas City Chiefs

At 5-7, the Chiefs sit just two games behind the Raiders and Broncos in the AFC West. Mathematically, Kansas City is still in the hunt. But traveling to New York on Sunday to face the Jets will be the end of the Chiefs' 2011 season. Kansas City's offense doesn't have enough with Tyler Palko at the wheel to upset the Jets on the road.
