Week 14 Fantasy Rankings: Ranking the Stud WRs
Which wide receivers are going to explode with major statistical performances this weekend, enough to carry you onto the next round in your fantasy football playoffs?
I've got a few suggestions.
Some of the usual suspects.
These are my top pass-catching receivers for Week 14's action.
Calvin Johnson
1 of 3The Lions are a team oozing with talent that's simply frustrated right now.
They've lost five of their last seven after their remarkable start to the year and they've been flagged for 22 penalties in their last two games.
Think they're ready to take out some of their anger against the 2-10, division-rival Vikings at home on Sunday?
Definitely.
I expect a September-type game from Calvin Johnson with a few long catches and a few trips to the end zone.
Wes Welker
2 of 3Welker has been a fantasy god for a few years now, and nearly every week he's a top fantasy wideout, especially in PPR leagues.
The Redskins don't have an especially fantastic secondary, but with the way he's moved around along the line of scrimmage, it doesn't matter how good any team's defensive backfield is.
Another eight- to 10-catch day for the terrorizing Welker.
Steve Smith
3 of 3Smith's production has decreased over the last month, with Cam Newton calling his own number as his club has reached the red zone.
With that being said, I think No. 89 is due for a monster game.
Falcons cornerback Brent Grimes has been ruled out for this one which should certainly benefit Smith, who's still one of the league's most dangerous deep threats and YAC guys.
