7 Ways WWE SmackDown Is Missing Christian
With Christian recently being injured during a match with Sheamus, he is out for an unannounced amount of time.
In my opinion, SmackDown is definitely beginning to miss Captain Charisma.
With that being said, today I thought we should make a list on seven reasons SmackDown will miss him.
The list is based on the current SmackDown storylines and the WWE product as a whole.
Enjoy!
In His Promo Work
1 of 7Christian is one of the people in the WWE who has the total package.
He is a veteran, he is great in the ring and, most importantly, he's great on the mic.
Christian has had some great promos in his career, and he always manages to spark the interest of listeners.
I am excited to hear what he has to say when he returns.
Feuding with Sheamus
2 of 7Now that Christian is out due to an injury, a large void was left in the main event scene.
Most importantly, a large void was made in who could challenge Sheamus.
-Randy Orton is feuding with Wade Barrett, and is a face.
-Mark Henry is in feuds with Big Show and Daniel Bryan.
-Cody Rhodes is about to enter a feud with Booker T.
Where does this leave Sheamus?
As a Main Event Heel
3 of 7With Christian gone, SmackDown loses yet another credible heel superstar.
Smackdown's current credible heels: Mark Henry, Wade Barrett, Cody Rhodes
Wow. That's pretty scary. I hope we get more superstars back on SmackDown as soon as possible because the roster is thinning.
As a Main Event Face
4 of 7Before Christian got injured, his heel character was in need of a tweaking. He was on the losing end of a feud with Randy Orton and Sheamus, and he turned into a coward.
Earlier this year though, before Christian's heel turn, he was a credible main event baby face who won the World Heavyweight Title from Alberto Del Rio.
I realize he is helping other stars on Smackdown get over with the crowd, but it shouldn't be at the expense of losing everything that was build up for his career.
In His Matches
5 of 7Christian can get a five star match out of anybody.
Before CM Punk vs. John Cena at Money in the Bank, Christian and Randy Orton were in both the feud of the year and the matches of the year.
When somebody can one-up a match against someone they have previously faced, you know they are good.
This is why so many people are against Mark Henry vs. Big Show. Fans feel that once you see one of their matches, you have seen them all.
The "Peeps"
6 of 7For all the "peeps" who are still loyal to Captain Charisma, you are probably disappointed he is out on injury.
As a current WWE veteran, many people watch WWE to see some old favorites, like Christian, in the ring. Without him there the "peeps" may just tune out.
As World Champion
7 of 7When Christian won the World Championship, that was one of the "feel-good" moments of the year.
Fans went ballistic and were finally praying that he would get a nice title reign. It was not meant to be though.
When Randy Orton came to SmackDown, he took not only the World Title, but the top babyface role as well.
