WWE Random Thoughts: Punk, Cena, Divas, Raw & Other Matters That Matter
"
You wanna hate me then hate me; what can I do
but keep gettin money, funny I was just like you
I had to hustle hard never give up, until I made it~ Nas

This was going to be the opening quote to an article that would have rocked everyone's socks off, changed the way you view the universe, probably would have made some of you cry/laugh/agree/angry/want to judo chop me, but the following conversation prevented me from needing to go into witness protection over an article tentatively titled: Three Reasons Why Cena Deserves to be Champion Over CM Punk.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Me: I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I actually think John Cena needs to be WWE champion right now. How great would it be to see him as champ while everyone sweated it out wondering if his match with the Rock would actually be for the WWE championship?
Could you imagine the reaction (good and bad combined creating a supernova of a pop) that Cena would get if he became WWE champion again? God forbid he beat CM Punk to become champ in the process!
My Friend: While I'm usually the one telling you to commit columnist suicide (see: 3 Reasons Why My Friend Hates CM Punk Fans) I think you need to back down from this one, and here's why:
1. (Honest Reason) You're right, but you'll be perceived by the majority to be both wrong and a troll.
2. (Philosophical Reason) The WWE has forgotten how to toy with people who believe they already have all the answers. This in essence would mean your idea will never come to fruition because it has creativity and imagination involved. Something the WWE strongly lacks due to as you once put it "The Status Quo Effect". Your article would do nothing but to serve your underlying need to garner attention through a controversial opinion that you yourself probably only half believe in.
3. (His Personal Reason) While it would be hilarious to read the comments that would follow; I have to sit and watch you boo John Cena unmercifully everytime he's on screen, and now you're saying he should be champ! Your sir, would be a hypocrite! And no one likes a hypocrite...
...But would I be a hypocrite?
Would that not engulf the WWE Universe If Cena were to be WWE champion down the homestretch towards WrestleMania only to loose it a month before the event due to interference by The Rock?
Because let's face it. The Rock doesn't want, need, or care about the title. The only thing he cares about his whipping Cena's candy ass all over Miami.
...And what the hell is a troll anyway?
I went looking around here, and he's right. It's probably best to stay as far away from this topic as possible.
...And now for some random thoughts.
Random Thought #1
Yes, I did just shamelessly plug two of my previous articles seamlessly into this article. It's a gift that few posses.

Do the divas go out of their way to make their segments look corny, ridiculous, and campy?
This is not a joke, but a serious question that needs to be addressed before they completely kill off any chance of this division ever having meaning again. Everything from their techno pop music entrances, the way they speak on the mic, the way they can't seem to find a serious tone in anything they do, to the way their characters are all the same (sans Beth and Natalya) reek of someone behind the scenes not caring about the product being displayed.
Noticeably absent from that list is wrestling abilities. Over the past couple of months, mostly due to Beth Phoenix as "I refuse to call it Divas" Champion. The match quality has skyrocketed in the past year. However, to their defense it's hard to pull off a decent match when you're allotted under five minutes to not only perform a wrestling match, but save room for that horrendous thing called "Cry Time".
A revolution needs to take place!
Is it because of a lack of talent?
Or, do those in charge don't give a damn?

Attention WWE executives:
Stop changing the theme songs of Cody Rhodes and Dolph Ziggler. I understand the need to change Cody's after he dropped the whole mask gimmick, but Ziggler's was perfection. Now it sounds like the opening to a lame rock ballad sung by Nickleback (not that there is anything wrong with that). It has diminished my respect for Ziggler in my eyes, and I can longer enjoy his presence on screen knowing his theme song was great, but now is semi-good....even though it's basically the same song.
OK, that's a little too dramatic, but in all seriousness please stop having music ADD.
Thanks,
Your Pal William.

Smackdown is no longer better then Raw. It was a good run while it was happening, but eventually it had to come back down to earth.
I never thought I would say this, but I miss Christian. His raw wrestling talent, fantastic charisma on the mic, and his charming good looks...
...anyway, what I'm getting around to is that Christian (unlike Orton, Sheamus, Barrett, Henry, and Bryan) might actually be the glue that holds the show together. Could Christian be the MVP of Smackdown?
This reminds me of a similar situation happening with an NFL team. Peyton Manning goes down for the Colts and all of a sudden his team can't win a game. Christian goes down and Smackdown can't seem to link two good shows in a row together. Sure there are good segments every now and then, but not entire episodes.

Can someone please explain to me the fascination with internet spoilers?
I understand we all don't live in the same country and watching WWE programming could be harder to watch for some, but doesn't that kill 99.9% of the enjoyment in wrestling?
I'm not talking about when its Friday night and you forget to DVR Smackdown so you hop online to check out the results later that night or Saturday morning. I'm talking about on Wednesday morning when the spoilers are leaked and at least five thousand people check them out...
... are you reading the spoilers, and still watching Smackdown? Or do you know you're going to be busy on Friday night and don't own a DVR?
I need some answers on this subject!
P.S. If you're one of the ones that can't help but read them and then accidentally on purpose blurt them out in someones comment section (ruining it for everyone unfortunate to see them) then watch the opening scene in Goodfellas to understand what needs to be done to you.
I honestly don't understand spoilers...
Random Thought #6
I'm dead serious when I say John Cena should be WWE Champion come Royal Rumble time. It's an intriguing premise that should be explored.
Random Thought #7
Speaking of John Cena...
... What does it mean to have "go away heat"?
John Cena is the only person I actually want to boo in the WWE. I don't boo him because his character is stale, or because he can't wrestle. I boo him because it's fun to. Plain and simple.
It's like everyone forgot how bad wrestling and all the characters were in the 80's and early 90's. You want to talk about lame? Go back in time (Youtube is good for that) and watch some old school matches from the 70's, 80's. It's nowhere even near the level that we see today.
Half the people who hate on John Cena aren't even old enough to remember how bad wrestling was. If this were 1985 and not 2011 everyone would still be riding the Cena train and loving every minute of it. When did we become such a pretentious, all knowing, magniloquent group of wrestling fans?
nostalgia for values you never actually held from an era you yourself didn’t live through isn’t really nostalgia — it’s sentimentality.
