Griffin, Richardson, Mathieu, Ball or Luck: Who Should Get The Heisman?

College Football Awards are great - everyone's getting one.
But the big one remains - the Heisman.
Usually we don't pay a lot of attention to awards, as it really doesn't matter who the Heisman winner is when the season's over (and we've seen some epic failures of Heisman heroes recently (although Mark Ingram, the running back from Alabama, is going to be excellent at New Orleans), but this year we are.
Going to New York as Heisman finalists are:
1) Andrew "Suck For" Luck (Stanford): This is a man who has thrown for gadzillion yards, and - bar injury - will be the NFL's No.1 Draft pick come 2012. Did you know fans of crappier NFL franchises are praying for a terrible year just so they could be in with a chance of picking up this kid? This year he answered the critics - except at home against Oregon, where he struggled. The hype for Luck was helped by ESPN all the way through, we might add (if we see another Tom Rinaldi story on why he decided to opt for a degree rather than a pro career we'll vomit).
2) Trent "Run 'Em Over" Richardson (Alabama): Trent Richardson ran over everyone apart from LSU this year, highlighted by a great one against Ole Miss. LSU, Tennessee and, er, Kent State are the three schools that kept Richardson to under 100 yards this season, and he was only 19 away from putting 200 up against Florida. The guy's a machine. He's going to go first round (if he decides to go pro), and the VFA's secretly hoping that he drops as far as Pittsburgh, so we can call him "The Bus' Son".
3) Montee "Wreckin'" Ball (Wisconsin): Most people would have wanted Ball's quarterback Russell Wilson to be in with a shout, but The Wrecking Ball smashed a lot of defenses this year - Penn State's included. He was brilliant all season long, hiding behind those big Wisconsin linesman and then bursting defenses into flame.
4) Tyrann "Money Honey" Mathieu (LSU): The Honey Badger has been money almost all season long. Will the voters forget about his mid-season suspension for 'fake weed' and the horrific hit on Dre Kirkpatrick in the Alabama game which got him another suspension, or will they forgive it because of his other-wordly defensive and special teams play, which has made the Tigers dangerous on EVERY side of the ball?
5) Robert "Freak" Griffin III (Baylor): If there's a player who's taken a team from 'zero' to 'hero', it's Griffin. The quarterback has been amazing week in, week out for the Baylor Bears and if it wasn't for him, Baylor probably wouldn't have half of the wins they took home this year. And as has been pointed out on Bleacher Report, the dual-threat quarterback's numbers have been better than almost every quarterback in the country for a team that has definitely been one of the better stories of 2011.
