NFL Week 14 Predictions: Top Upset Picks You Can't Miss

Wes ODonnellDec 8, 2011

The New York Giants have only been favored once in their last four games against the Dallas Cowboys.

Ironically enough, that is their only loss in those four games.

The Giants are the underdogs again this week and poised to put together another upset bid.

They're not the only ones either.

Giants (+3) at Cowboys

Big D is a whopping 1-6 against the spread versus conference opponents this season.

Against the Giants in particular, the Cowboys are only 1-3 in their last four, each loss against the spread was also a straight up loss and all four games went over.

Is there reason any of this should change on Sunday night with monster playoff implications attached? No, there isn't.

Dallas' wins in recent weeks, and all season for that matter, have hardly been convincing. In fact, other than their Week 2 triumph over San Francisco this would be their biggest win of the season.

Panthers
(+3) vs. Falcons

Do the Falcons realize they play in the NFL and not the Arena league?

Atlanta hasn't played a true outdoor game since Week 4, and they've won only one of their three games played outside this season.

They deserve the benefit of the doubt right now considering they're a better team than they were in Weeks 1-4, but so are the feisty Panthers.

Cam Newton and Carolina have won and covered in two straight games and are 4-2 against the spread at home this season. Atlanta, meanwhile, is 2-4 against the spread on the road and 0-3 against the spread on grass fields.

Texans
(+3) at Bengals

Houston continues to win games despite devastating injury after devastating injury.

This week they'll travel to Cincinnati to take on a slumping Bengals team with their postseason hopes on the line.

As a good a story as the Bengals are there is a reason they haven't covered in four straight weeks.

Cincinnati's defense will give Houston trouble, but the Texans' defense will cause problems for the Bengals too.

The Texans haven't lost against the spread in six straight weeks.

Getting points on the road against an inexperienced Bengals team is worth a play.
