King JDec 7, 2011

According to a press release from the executive producers of HBO, it all happens from the nation's capital this Saturday, December 10th, when HBO's World Championship Boxing returns with the WBA, IBF 140-pound champion Amir Khan defending his titles against local D.C. hometown contender Lamont Peterson.

Khan (26-1, 18 KOs) is riding high from a one-sided dominate performance against Zab Judah in July stopping him in Round 5 and unifying the WBA and IBF titles.

Peterson (29-1-1, 15 KOs) has been in the ring with some of the best names in the 140-pound division including Tim Bradley and Victor Ortiz and will have the hometown advantage being born and raised in Washington, D.C.
