WWE News: Latest Update on Chris Jericho Returning to WWE and "Look Within 2012"

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that the WWE has been airing a series of cryptic videos over the last few weeks that seem to be promoting the return of a big star. 

There was the “Second 2012” video and then the “Look Within 2012” video, both of which are pretty vague and aren’t exactly coming out and telling us who they’re meant for. 

Of course, there have been a ton of theories as to who might be behind the videos, from Shane McMahon to Vince McMahon to Batista to The Undertaker. But the No. 1 choice seems to be Chris Jericho, and a number of reports seem to confirm that. 

And now we’ve got another reputable wrestling news website claiming that the videos are indeed meant for Y2J. 

From WrestlingNewsWorld.com:

The latest plan is to re-debut Jericho under the cryptic videos. He’s scheduled to come back on January 2, 2012 although that is always subject to change until it actually happens. 

"

If you clicked the link and saw the video that WNW included, it’s pretty obvious that the video is a fake. So, there’s really no point in analyzing it too much. 

That being said, WNW’s report is just the latest indication that the cryptic YouTube videos are promoting the return of the superstar who most people thought they were promoting: Chris Jericho. 

Earlier this year, the WWE ran some similar mysterious videos, and many of us thought they were meant for Sting. Of course, they turned out to be for The Undertaker, and we were left a little bit disappointed. 

I really wouldn’t be surprised if that happened again, though, and Jericho wasn’t able to reach a deal with the WWE, resulting in the videos leading to Undertaker’s return instead.

Still, I’m going to hold out hope that Jericho is indeed coming back on Jan. 2. 

The WWE would be much better off if that was the case.
