Colts vs. Ravens: TV Schedule, Live Stream, Radio, Game Time and More

Michael DixonDec 7, 2011

At the beginning of the season, the Indianapolis Colts at Baltimore Ravens game looked like it would be a great game. But while the 9-3 Ravens have had a strong season, the loss of Peyton Manning has hurt the Colts, who are 0-12.

Still, a lot is on the line here, especially for the Ravens. This game also has intrigue as it pits Baltimore's old team in the Colts against its current team in the Ravens.

Betting Line: Ravens (-17), according to Bodog

That's a huge spread and the Colts did keep the Patriots from covering a week ago, but that's not going to happen two weeks in a row. I understand some fear with that kind of spread, but the Ravens look good for a win and cover.

What's at Stake

For the Colts, the No. 1 draft pick. They are winless, and the next-worst teams are 2-10.

For the Ravens, the playoffs are all but locked up, but everything else is on the line. At 9-3, they are tied with the Steelers for the division lead (though they will have the tiebreaker), and also with the Patriots and Texans for the top spot in the conference.

Baltimore is undefeated at home this year, so home-field advantage is huge.

Colts' Injury Report

QB Peyton Manning, TE Dallas Clark and TE Brody Eldridge are out.

RB Ryan Mahaffey, DB Terrence Johnson, LB Pat Angerer and RB Joseph Addai are questionable.

Ravens' Injury Report

LB Ray Lewis is doubtful.

RB Anthony Allen and CB Chris Carr are questionable.

Fantasy Start 'Em, Sit' Em and Sleeper

Start 'Em: Ray Rice

He's been on a tear and Indianapolis' run defense is terrible.

Sit 'Em: Donald Brown

Running backs going against Indianapolis are not traditionally great plays. Brown is certainly no exception to that.

Sleeper: Torrey Smith

Torrey Smith is still owned in too many leagues and on too many benches. That needs to change. I know that he's had a few bad weeks in a row, but the Colts defense doesn't match that of the 49ers or Browns.

What They're Saying

Edward Lee of the Baltimore Sun is reporting that the Ravens don't want to be the first team to lose to a winless team, as they were to the Dolphins in 2007. Lee quoted Terrell Suggs as saying the following:

"

I think it was back in '07. It was actually the Miami Dolphins in overtime. A little slant route got us. But this is the NFL and they’re professionals, and we’re expecting them to light up and come up in here and play. They’re just as big a threat to us as if we were playing anybody else.

"

Colts Player To Watch

The Colts' only chance at an upset is to force turnovers. That will only happen if they pressure Joe Flacco early and often. Keep an eye on Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis.

Ravens Player To Watch

Ray Rice. He's been very strong in recent weeks, going for more than 200 yards against the Browns a week ago. If he does half that, this will be an easy win for Baltimore.

Key Matchup: Ravens offensive line vs. Colts defense

Again, Indianapolis' only chance at a win is a heavy pass rush. Baltimore will need to be sure that doesn't happen.

On the Hot Seat

Colts coach Jim Caldwell is in trouble. I know the Colts have had injury issues all year, but an NFL team simply can't go winless. If Caldwell doesn't figure something out, the Colts will be looking for a new coach.

Prediction: Ravens 28, Colts 3

This one has blowout written all over it. The Ravens have had issues against weaker teams this year, but those have all been on the road. This game is in Baltimore and the Colts are a step below anyone else.
