FC Barcelona: Xavi Says That Anything Is Possible Against Real Madrid

Xavi (FC Barcelona midfielder) admits that anything is possible in the El Clasico match against Real Madrid. He made his statements in an interview with FIFA.com when discussing the upcoming match.

The FC Barcelona midfielder admits that Real Madrid enjoys the advantage of being at the Bernabeu and the ranking. Xavi proceeded to say that league ranking will have no bearing in the match and looks forward to facing Real Madrid in their home base.

Xavi admitted that a defeat by Real Madrid would not end the dreams of Barca in the La Liga Championship. Cesc Fabregas commented about El Clasico a few days before Xavi talked with FIFA.com.

Fabregas told FIFA.com that Barca was going to face Real Madrid in their stadium without fear. Fabregas admitted to FIFA.com that while Real Madrid can be dangerous at their home base, Barca will continue to play.

According to the La Liga standings (which can be appreciated in the FOX Sports website), Real Madrid is in first place with 37 points, followed by FC Barcelona with 34 points. Real Madrid has the home advantage of 6-0-0 and the away advantage of 6-1-1.

Real Madrid has played 14 matches with 12 wins, one draw and one loss in the current La Liga season. Real Madrid has 49 goals for and 10 goals against in the current season.

FC Barcelona has the home advantage of 8-1-0 and the away advantage of 2-3-1. Barca has played 15 matches with 10 wins, four draws, one loss, 47 goals for and seven goals against in the current La Liga season.

It remains to be seen what will transpire, but whatever happens will be interesting.
