Week 14 Fantasy Football Rankings: Michael Vick and the Riskiest QBs

Zach KruseDec 7, 2011

In our Week 14 fantasy football rankings, the following five quarterbacks are the riskiest plays:

Michael Vick, Eagles

Vick will try his best to play this week, but there's plenty you need to consider here. The rust factor is in play, and Vick wasn't exactly lighting up the fantasy world before he went out.

You also have to look at the Dolphins defense, which has played top-five fantasy pass defense over the past five weeks.

Josh Freeman, Buccaneers

Freeman is another injury risk this week, as he's dealing with a shoulder injury that kept him out last week against Carolina. If he can go, Freeman will face a good Jaguars pass defense on Sunday.

There's not much for upside here.

A lot of fantasy folks are going to overrate Hasselbeck this week because of his matchup with the Saints pass defense. I'm not as sold.

Hasselbeck hasn't thrown for over 200 yards in a month and the game plan will certainly feature plenty of Chris Johnson.

Sanchez has five touchdown passes over his last two games, but he'll be going up against an improving Chiefs pass defense this weekend. Kansas City hasn't allowed 200 yards since Week 11.

They are keeping quarterbacks out of the end zone, too. The Chiefs have given up just seven passing touchdowns over their last seven games.

Ryan Fitzpatrick, Bills

250 or more yards in two straight games would seem to signal a rebound for Fitzpatrick, but like so many guys on this list, Fitzpatrick faces a tough matchup on the road in San Diego. The Chargers haven't allowed 200 or more yards in two weeks.

That's a long trip out to the West Coast, too.
