2011 NFL Fantasy Football Week 14: Wide Receivers (WR) Rankings and Projections
Percy Harvin @ Lions:
With Donovan McNabb under center coupled with Percy Harvin’s own rib issues, the Vikings' talented playmaker had a hard time living up to his low-end WR-2 expectations coming into the season. Of late, Harvin has been able to stay on the field and rookie quarterback Christian Ponder has taken a liking to him as the top target in the passing game.
Harvin had a WR-1 performance against the Falcons and followed that up with two impressive touchdowns to go with over 150 yards receiving against the Broncos. Throw in Harvin’s touches in the run game and a great matchup against the Lions, and you can see why he grades out as our top-ranked receiver for Week 14.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
No one would expect Ponder to play like Drew Brees, but it’s hard to ignore the Lions secondary when corners like Eric Wright get embarrassed by Brees and Robert Meachem for a long touchdown score last week. Detroit is playing like they want to miss the playoffs, while the Vikings are putting up competitive games against good teams. Look for Harvin to have another huge performance this week.
Torrey Smith vs. Colts:
If you’re in need of some big play upside to beat out a better team in the first round of the playoffs, you might want to get Torrey Smith in your lineup this week. Smith is a boom-or-bust player, but against the Colts he should have some opportunities downfield.
We saw Smith breakout in his debut against the Rams with three touchdowns in the first half, and while no one can expect that kind of production, he could have the kind of performance to help you advance in the playoffs.
