For those interested, the time has finally arrived!

As of today and for the low price of $250 per share, you can officially purchase part ownership in the Green Bay Packers. Just so you're prepared, there will be a handling fee. (Someone has to pay for the certificate their going to send you.)

Credit cards? No problem, purchases can be made online. For those interested, click here to go to the team site where they will be offered as of 8 a.m. CST.

If your afraid of identify theft, don't worry, you have plenty of time to purchase them via snail mail as well.

Is this the perfect Christmas present for a Packer backer you know? No problems there either, they will provide a means for you to receive the stock certificate prior to Christmas Eve. (Expect to pay more though.) Don't forget shares can not be transferred! You must purchase it in the name of the individual whom you intend it for.

The original 250,000 offered shares will be available until Feb. 29, 2012, however this is subject to extension.

Prior to purchase please remember, you will not personally benefit from this. This is not your typical "stock investment." You will not be paid dividends, and the shares will not increase in value. You do, however, have bragging rights and the ability to say you own a portion of the Green Bay Packers. Additionally, you can attend and vote at the annual Green Bay Packers share holder meeting.

Congrats to all new team owners! Please post about your buying experience below.
