NFL Possiblities: 5 Game-Changing Wide Receivers That Could Be Traded
The NFL is a business, and if you have one bad season, an injury or if you did one bad ordeal off the field, you could find yourself on another team or on your living room couch.
You could also be traded because a team made an offer your team couldn't refuse.
Here are five players that could be traded next season for any of the reasons above.
No. 5: Mario Manningham
1 of 5Some of you may not think of Mario Manningham as a game-changer, especially since he hasn't done much at all this season.
But if you look at what he has done in the last two seasons, he has been really good. In his second season, everybody was concerned that Eli Manning didn't have enough weapons. He actually ended up having three really good wide receivers, Manningham included.
In his third season, he stepped up when Steve Smith was hurt for most of the season. He had 944 yards, and nine touchdowns.
So he has been productive, and I think he could be a great No. 2 for another team.
Most likely destination: Arizona Cardinals
No. 4: Brandon Marshall
2 of 5Yes it is very unlikely that it will happen, but it is not impossible.
Marshall has had some off the field issues already and I wouldn't be surprised he is traded. I've heard some rumors of some more off the field issues, and I could see a team wanting him to take his talents to somewhere other than South Beach.
Possible Destination: Oakland Raiders
No. 3: Reggie Wayne
3 of 5Reggie Wayne isn't having a very good season. Wayne has 707 yards and only two touchdowns. By his standards, that's not very good.
But it's not all his fault the rest of the team almost forgot that they are getting paid to play football, not to sit and wait for Peyton Manning to come back and save them.
Wayne is 33 and since the Colts have young and productive receivers like Austin Collie and Pierre Garcon, they might trade him and see what they could get for him.
I could see Wayne wanting to go somewhere else as well. I think he will land with a young team that will look for someone that can help mentor their younger receivers and contribute on the field as well.
Possible Destination: Buffalo Bills
No. 2: DeSean Jackson
4 of 5I've already did another slideshow telling you guys about where I think DeSean is going.
There are five possible destinations. If you want to know where I think he is going to go, go check out that slide.
No. 1: Miles Austin
5 of 5It's possible that Austin could be on his way out of Dallas.
Laurent Robinson has stepped up in a big way: He has become Tony Romo's favorite target. I wouldn't be surprised if they made this because Austin has a big contract and he has been hurt for most of the season.
The Cowboys have proven that they can still play well on offense without him, So they could trade him to a team for the right price.
Just think about it, if Carson Palmer is worth two first-round picks, how much do you think Austin is worth? And we all know that Jerry Jones is good at persuading teams to give up a bunch of picks for one player (just ask the Minnesota Vikings).
Possible Destinations: Cleveland Browns or Jacksonville Jaguars
