Late last week we got news that was sure to pique the interest of all those fantasy owners who put their faith in Austin on draft day.
Yahoo Sports reported Austin would be back by the Dec. 11 contest with the Giants. Here is what Austin had to say about the lingering hamstring injury prior to the Cardinals game. Per ESPN report:
"We were thinking maybe possibly this being the game that I do come back. I guess they’re trying to be a little bit more cautious with it. It makes sense. I’m feeling better now than I did on a regular Wednesday or Thursday in a week because I continue to get treatment. So I’ll be good to go next week. I’m running routes now. It’s good to get these days up underneath me just not only for my hamstring but my legs and wind and everything else back.
"
This tweet from NFL Draft Update should put to rest that awful feeling that the hamstring would linger for much longer.
I would still keep track of Austin's progress. We should know a lot more by the end of Wednesday's practice on how well Austin played and how much he will figure into next week's game.
It looks far more likely that you will finally be able to place Austin as active on your fantasy roster and feel confident in doing so. This is a huge boost as most leagues are headed into playoffs shortly.
