2011 Bowl Schedule: Most Epic Non-BCS Matchups on the Docket

Nobody, and I do mean nobody, enjoys watching a boring bowl game, but frankly that's what we end up getting half the time in these non-BCS bowls.

Unfortunately, they seem to be the teams that either got slighted by the system or who don't deserve to be in a bowl game in the first place.

Even more unfortunate is the fact that it can sometimes lead to a very bad game.

That being said, not all of the non-BCS bowl games will be duds.

Here's two non-BCS bowl games that are sure to be epic:

Valero Alamo Bowl: Washington vs. Baylor

This game is worth tuning into just to watch Baylor quarterback and Heisman Trophy candidate Robert Griffin Junior III.

Griffin III has had an incredible year, putting up 3,998 yards and 36 touchdowns through the air and 644 yards and nine touchdowns on the ground.

He's led the Bears to the nation's sixth-ranked offense at 43.5 points per game and should put on quite a show against a Washington defense that gives up 240.3 passing yards and 152 rushing yards per game.

Outback Bowl: Michigan State vs. Georgia

This matchup features two teams that played incredibly well this season, but they couldn't come up big when it mattered in their respective conference championship games.

The Spartans have one of the better defenses in the nation, giving up 17.5 points per game. They also have a very potent offense led by senior quarterback Kirk Cousins and a running back group of Le'Veon Bell and Edwin Baker that totaled for 1,555 yards and 16 touchdowns.

They square off with a Bulldogs team with an equally stingy defense that gave up an average of 19.6 points per game and is led by quarterback Aaron Murray, who put up 33 touchdowns and 2,861 yards on the year.

This game will have the feel of the BCS game and quite frankly it should be.
