NBA Rumors: Shooting Guards Drawing the Most Interest Around the League
Early on, as NBA training camp and free agency approaches, the market for big men has been drawing the most interest around the league.
But there are a few shooting guards currently out the market that have been drawing a lot of interest around the league.
Here's a look at the best available 2-guards on the market.
Arron Afflalo
1 of 9Afflalo has quickly become one of the most sought after guards on the market.
Denver would love to keep the restricted free agent, but several teams would love to have him. Despite having no cap space, both the Lakers and Bulls are exploring sign-and-trade options, but New Jersey and Minnesota are two teams with cap space that could sign Afflalo to an offer sheet.
Jamal Crawford
2 of 9Crawford is another guy that the Bulls are exploring sign-and-trade options with, but several teams are hot after him including the Indiana Pacers.
A return to Atlanta isn't out of the question for Crawford, but in addition to Chicago and Indiana, other teams on his radar include Phoenix, New Orleans and New Jersey.
Jason Richardson
3 of 9Orlando would love to bring Richardson back, but he's also very high on both the Knicks and Bulls radar.
Shannon Brown
4 of 9There is going to be some interest in Brown—who likely will explore other options other than returning to the Lakers—given that playing behind Kobe Bryant doesn't offer up a great deal of playing time.
One team Brown is currently linked to is New Orleans, but there will likely be several more courting him by the time free agency begins on December 9.
Nick Young
5 of 9Young has to decide on a return to Washington, and as a restricted free agent, the Wizards can match any offer.
While Washington certainly wants to keep him, Young is currently attracting a great deal of attention from numerous teams including Chicago, New Orleans, Phoenix, Denver and Sacramento.
Marcus Thornton
6 of 9Thornton is another unrestricted free agent and the Kings are trying hard to keep him in Sacramento, but they will have some competition.
SI.com's Sam Amick reports that New Orleans leads a list of four or five teams that are hot after the young shooting guard.
DeShawn Stevenson
7 of 9Stevenson proved his value as one of the better perimeter defenders on the market in last season's Dallas Mavericks run to a championship.
A return to the Mavs could be in order as Dallas is currently working on re-signing him.
Michael Redd
8 of 9Redd has seen his value diminish due to a rash of injuries, but the guy can still shoot the ball and all contending teams can use another shooter.
A return to Milwaukee is likely out for Redd, but New York, Boston, Chicago and Miami all have him on their radar.
Tracy McGrady
9 of 9The Pistons have reached out to McGrady, but it's still unclear whether the once-dominant McGrady will opt for a return to Detroit or seek employment with a contender instead.
