No. 10 West Virginia Mountaineers
1 of 10West Virginia clinched their position as the Big East Champion by winning their last three ball games. Not only did they win their final three games, but they did so by winning each game by no more than three points.
This Mountaineers team has proven that they have what it takes to scratch, claw and fight their way to find a way to win no matter what the odds are.
They will head into the Orange Bowl to take on the ACC Champion, Clemson Tigers.
No. 9 TCU Horned Frogs
2 of 10Last year's Rose Bowl Champion, the TCU Horned Frogs, will not be heading back to another Rose Bowl this year. Even after losing two games early in their season, this TCU team rattled off victories in their last seven games.
Their win over Boise State clinched the Mountain West Conference, and eliminated Boise State from BCS consideration. They may have two losses and will be heading to play in the Poinsettia Bowl, but that should not take away that this team had a great year.
No. 8 Baylor Bears
3 of 10The Big 12 had a great year after losing both Colorado and Nebraska to the Pac-12 and Big Ten. They finished the year with five teams in the final BCS Standings, with the emergence of the Baylor Bears program.
Baylor flew out of the gates this year with a huge upset win over TCU in their first game. They did hit a little lull in their season losing two games. However, since then they have ripped off five straight wins.
In those five wins, Baylor has put up at least 30 or more points. They head into the Alamo Bowl this year as they finish with their best record ever at 9-3.
No. 7 Michigan Wolverines
4 of 10Michigan finally came back to where their fans were used to seeing them, with a 10-2 record and back in a BCS Bowl Game. They head into this year's Sugar Bowl against the Virginia Tech Hokies on a three game winning streak.
The winning streak isn't as long as some of the other teams on this list, however they did win their first six games and have won four of their last five games.
No. 6 Kansas State Wildcats
5 of 10Kansas State may not be going to a BCS bowl game, even if they rank in the Top 10 of the final BCS Standings. However, they are hitting their peak right now winning their final three games after losing a heart breaker to Oklahoma State after getting blow out by Oklahoma.
Now they head into the Cotton Bowl against a great Arkansas team. Kansas State has a chance to prove that they should have been picked for the Sugar Bowl over Virginia Tech, with a big win against one of the SEC's best teams.
No. 5 Wisconsin Badgers
6 of 10The Big Ten Champion had to survive in their championship game against a great Michigan State team. Wisconsin fought hard and found a way to edge out the Spartans 42-39 to earn a spot in the Rose Bowl.
That win capped off an incredible five game winning streak to end their championship season. They were led by the rushing attack of Montee Ball and the arial game of Russell Wilson. They will prove to be a great opponent for the Pac-12 champion, the Oregon Ducks in the 2012 Rose Bowl.
No. 4 Oregon Ducks
7 of 10The Oregon Ducks may have killed their BCS Championship hopes with their loss to USC a couple of weeks ago. However, with their huge two victories down the road, they are hitting their perfect stride as they head into this year's Rose Bowl game against WIsconsin.
This Oregon team will put on quite the show against Wisconsin. Both of these teams have an explosive offense, and an insane amount of speed on both sides of the ball.
The Rose Bowl will see two of the best running backs in college football. As Wisconsin's Montee Ball and Oregon's LaMichael James will put on a great show.
No. 3 Oklahoma State Cowboys
8 of 10Oklahoma State is coming into the Fiesta Bowl without a winning streak. However, they are playing their best football after what they did to their in-state rival, the Oklahoma Sooners. That dominating victory at home last week, proved that this Cowboys team is about as good as any team in the country.
They will head out to play one of the best quarterbacks in college football in Stanford's Andrew Luck. If Ok. State can contain Luck and Stanford, it will only add fuel to the fire that they should have played for the BCS National Championship.
No. 2 Alabama Crimson Tide
9 of 10Alabama has played some of the best college football in the nation over their last three games. They took that close loss to LSU, then rebounded by blowing out their final three opponents. Since their loss to LSU, Alabama has not allowed an SEC opponent to score more than 14 points, while running up 24 and 42 points in those two games.
They are playing some of their best football of their season and come into this BCS Championship game with only one loss on the season.
They will be ready for LSU come January 9th.
No. 1 LSU Tigers
10 of 10LSU has won their last 12 games, which was their only 12 games this year. They are the best team in the nation and aside from the Alabama game, they have not been in any danger of losing.
They are the most complete college football team this year, and will be hard to take down in the BCS National Championship Game.
They will put on a great show in front of their fans for the BCS Title. And they will take down Alabama to finish this year a perfect 13-0.
