BCS Championship: LSU-Alabama Rematch Leaves CFB Fans Wanting More
LSU and Alabama will battle again for the BCS National Championship Game, and neutral college football fans should be upset.
Yes, these are probably the two best teams in college football. And yes, the first game was extremely close.
However, Alabama already had its chance to prove it was the best team in the country, and it blew it.
I think the BCS really messed up by not giving Oklahoma State a crack at LSU.
The Cowboys have a disappointing loss on their resume, but they are clearly one of the top offenses in the country. They put up a ridiculous 49.3 points per game in a tough Big 12 conference.
If anyone can actually score against that vicious LSU defense, it's Oklahoma State.
Brandon Weeden was phenomenal this season and Justin Blackmon is the best receiver in college football. The pair connected 113 times for 1,336 yards and 15 touchdowns on the season.
LSU's secondary might be the best I've ever seen, but Weeden and Blackmon would undoubtedly challenge them.
Instead of something new and possibly thrilling in the BCS title game, college football fans will be stuck with another defensive battle on Jan. 9.
Personally, I want to see Weeden and Blackmon take on one of the best defenses in the history of college football.
Instead, we're going to get plenty of punts, field goals and another final score that looks like a World Series game. Great.
