Miz Targets Those That Have Held Him Back: Who's Next?
Mike Mizanin came into the WWE with the reputation of a reality TV star but has quickly become one of WWE's most successful young stars. The Miz has placed himself above others in the WWE and made a name for himself by defeating many top superstars, talking his way into highly-anticipated matches and being a superstar you love to hate or hate to love.
Whichever side you are on, you can't help but listen to and watch him when he is in the ring.
Recently, the Miz has been on a mission to destroy anybody who has held him back in his career. Last week on Raw, after attacking John Morrison, he threatened that there will be more to come.
Let's take a look into Miz's career to see who he might destroy next.
NXT Could've Been Great for Miz
1 of 10In early 2010, The Miz found himself as the Pro of a cocky, world-renowned wrestler Daniel Bryan on NXT. The Miz and Daniel Bryan didn't always see eye to eye, and this prevented them from really forming a bond.
Bryan's lack on interest in listening to his WWE Pro wasn't helping him in the long run. After just a short while on the show, he was not successful in even one match. This upset Miz and didn't create a closer relationship between the two. Then the day came for the eliminations, Daniel Bryan was let go by the WWE Management.
From Miz's point of view you would see this as a major blow to his career. If his rookie would've communicated with him more and won it would've done wonders for the superstar's career. But instead, Miz was left without a rookie and embarrassed by Bryan's actions.
This would give him a perfect reason to make Daniel Bryan his next target.
NXT Second Try
2 of 10The Miz had a second chance when the next season of NXT came around, this time with Alex Riley. Riley worked well with Miz and was willing to listen to his advice and comments. Riley was successful in many of his matches and didn't display the attitude that Bryan did towards Miz.
When all was said and done, Alex didn't win the second season but he did become a personal assistant to WWE Superstar the Miz. Riley assisted Miz in more ways than just carrying his luggage and washing his clothes. Riley helped Miz win matches and cheered him on at ringside. But as time went on, Riley became tired of the abuse he was receiving from Miz and turned on him. This didn't please the Miz, and they settled their differences inside the ring.
Alex Riley steered Miz in the wrong direction by making him take his eyes away from the title hunt. Miz went on to compete against Riley instead of the champion, this being the reason Miz would make Riley his third victim.
The Face of the WWE Is in His Way
3 of 10Many superstars in the WWE have a problem with John Cena being the "Face of the WWE," but no one as much as the Miz.
He has competed in some matches with Cena, including a main even title match at WrestleMania and an I Quit match at Over The Limit. Miz tried his best to overcome the odds and defeat Cena, but in the end Miz was the one to yell I Quit. The WrestleMania match went the way of the talkative star and champion, Miz, after The Rock interfered with a rock bottom to Cena.
Every time The Miz goes for the title or tries to make an impact, he is overshadowed by The Champ, John Cena.
All that Miz has done has never been good enough to make him the face of the company. This would make Cena a prime target for the former reality TV star.
Tag Team Gone Wrong...
4 of 10Once upon a time, Miz joined forces with the "World's Largest Athlete" to become tag champs under the name ShowMiz. Together they seemed to be unstoppable with the sly acts of the Miz and the quick right hand of the Big Show.
They had a great run as the Tag Team Champions only to be defeated by The Hat Dynasty.
Following the match, Big Show let Miz have a taste of his Weapon of Mass Destruction by punching him in the face, leaving him with a bruise and the inability to compete. This setback left Miz alone and humiliated once again.
With Miz running crazy on the path to take down those who have held him back and Big Show back on Raw, could he be the next target?
WrestleMania Spotlight Stolen
5 of 10At last year's WrestleMania, The Miz defended his WWE Championship against John Cena in the main event. The match was exciting and action-packed from beginning to end. The Miz and Cena took the match outside the ring and ended up laying in the crowd area on some concrete. The fight was ended via count out and Miz retained his title.
The spotlight was all his.
But from behind the stage emerged that year's highlight, the Great One—The Rock.
Rock restarted the match and the two competitors entered the ring. The Rock performed his finishing move on Cena and Miz pinned him, thus retaining his title but losing the spotlight to The Rock.
Miz is spotlight hungry and maybe he hasn't forgotten how it was stolen from him even though he was the Champion.
Fired Then Rehired
6 of 10Triple H is set to return this week after a brutal attack at the hands of Kevin Nash put him out for six weeks.
Miz and R-Truth were fired by Triple H when we was the GM and COO of WWE. Then Miz was attacked by Triple H after interfering in a match at a PPV. They were rehired by John Laurinatis, and now Miz has the power to take his anger out on the COO Triple H.
He could make an impact and strike fear into the hearts of many by defeating such a legendary man. Miz has the abilities to do so, but does he have the Cerebral Assassin in mind?
Rehired but Ignored
7 of 10Yes, Laurinatis rehired the Miz but he has also let him out of the title picture and big singles matches.
Laurinatis is vulnerable and unable to compete with the skills of the Miz. Miz could be risking his career but with the rage that he has been displaying, would he really be thinking straight?
The GM is a possibility, but the fans aren't behind him and it really wouldn't make an impact on the crowd. Still, Miz has been out of the championship spotlight, and it would be Laurinatis' decision whether to place him in it once again.
The Champion May Have Trouble
8 of 10CM Punk is the WWE Champion, and Miz wants to be the WWE Champion.
But it seems these days that if you are not a "golden one," you have to prove yourself. So why not attack the man that is champion to show everyone that you are worthy of becoming the No. 1 contender?
CM Punk is a great competitor and can handle almost anyone in the ring. But with Miz being on a strong path of destruction, could Punk hold him back or would he be overcome?
Barrage vs. the Angry Miz
9 of 10Wade Barrett has been on the warpath with his Barrett Barrage, taking out every superstar in his path. He has orchestrated attacks against the top stars in singles and tag matches.
Barrett hasn't really had any previous involvement with Miz, but he is on a quite a winning streak. If Miz made Wade his third target and was successful, this could up the status for him by taking out a presence such as Barrett.
By ending the Barrage he could place himself at the top again and place fear in both the Raw roster and the Smackdown roster.
What Could Be Next for This Superstar?
10 of 10What is next or who is next for this angry superstar?
After watching him destroy his former tag team partners R-Truth and Morrison, it makes you wonder who is next?
Will anybody be able to stop Miz before he injures another superstar?
