Tim Tebow: Winning Won't Convince John Elway Tebow Is Broncos' QB of the Future
Tim Tebow has proven himself worthy of holding down the starting job in Denver for the time being, but no amount of success he has this season will convince John Elway that Tebow is the Broncos' quarterback of the future.
A blend of Tebow's heroics and lights-out defense have allowed the Broncos to jump to first place in the AFC West. Winning six of their last seven games has the Broncos in serious playoff contention, but there is a big difference between winning in the regular season and consistently being in Super Bowl contention.
The Broncos are maximizing the potential of their team. They've got holes on both sides of the ball and their reluctance to throw the ball has some concerned about their ability to win long term, but they are putting themselves in a position to win games and have made themselves competitive.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
That doesn't mean this is how they want to build their team going forward. Winning in this fashion is exciting, but Elway is a Hall of Fame quarterback and knows the value of a conventional passer.
Moxy and intangibles only go so far. The notion that Tebow won't find a starting job in the NFL is ridiculous, it just isn't going to be with the Denver Broncos.
With Matt Barkley, Andrew Luck, Landry Jones and Robert Griffin III headlining a deep crop of quarterbacks, the temptation to snag a quarterback in the first round is going to be there for the Broncos.
Tebow is doing everything the Broncos thought he would. While they may not care how they are getting it done now, it's hard to see them building their offense to cater to the spread option offense they are getting it done with today.
It's hard to believe Elway doesn't like what he sees, but that doesn't do anything for Tebow's job security.
