WWE RAW: Complete Preview, Rumors, News and More for Dec. 5

Donald WoodDec 5, 2011

This week’s Raw SuperShow should be the first step on the road to the TLC pay-per-view, which means the start or continuation of some new feuds.

With a three-hour live event next week, the WWE seems to be treating this like a throwaway show. That could be a good thing in terms of more actual time wrestling instead of plotting storylines.

I am not expecting much out of this show, just like I’m not going to expect much from the TLC PPV.

Dark Matches

Reports broke Sunday night that WWE advertisements in the Tampa Bay area have John Cena taking on Alberto Del Rio and CM Punk in a triple-threat title match.

While that sounds great, it will most likely be a Dark Match if it takes place at all. While most of what happens during dark matches doesn’t mean a thing, the WWE’s urge to get Cena involved with the WWE title may have him involved come TLC.

The reports also have talk of a possible 41-person battle royal and a possible appearance by Triple H. What WWE says and WWE actually does are two wildly different things.

Kevin Nash on Raw???

The WWE is a more interesting when Kevin Nash is running around causing havoc. It looks like Tampa Bay just got a whole lot cooler, because Big Sexy is coming to the arena to work out his frustrations.

Nash appears to be gearing up for another match that will put him over before the Triple H feud really kicks off. He wrote on Twitter:

Barring any last-minute re-writes from WWE, Nash will probably beat down a jobber. This was supposed to be the time that he and Triple H were readying for their match at TLC, but they are holding it off until the Royal Rumble.

At least on the Royal Royal card they can bury this train-wreck match.

What They’re Saying

Former WWE superstar Goldust is lobbying management for a possible feud with his younger brother Cody. I think the Booker T matches with Cody would be better, but Goldust has always been closely associated with Booker T, so an appearance and possible matches are very possible.

John Cena’s Response to Roddy Piper’s Intervention

After what could’ve been the biggest night in John Cena’s recent history went off without a hitch, the subtle personality changes will start to come to fruition. While Cena could never be a full heel because of his hold on the little kids that love wrestling so much, he needs to change up what has become a stale routine.

Rumors: The WWE has been keeping hush on Cena’s actual direction moving forward, but the slow turn should take up the next few months leading into the Royal Rumble.

Will John Cena Get Involved in the WWE Title picture?

With the big push for WrestleMania coming after the Royal Rumble, John Cena is very much in limbo right now. While it seems obvious that he and the Miz will continue their feud, the WWE may have plans to put John Cena back into the WWE title picture with Alberto Del Rio.

Rumors: The word is that WWE is advertising this three-way match for the Raw a week before TLC, which could make it easy to slide Cena into the actual TLC match.

The Miz Looks for a Direction

When WWE.com does a story on something, fans should be keeping their eyes open. The company likes to play games and they did it again with the Miz article, asking what’s next for the star. The website offers a list of possible stars, but don’t be surprised if it is no one from that list.

Rumors: While the rumors have been running rampant about WWE possibly feuding The Miz with CM Punk, the WWE planning has become so fluid that no storyline is set in stone.

Return of Evan Bourne

After being suspended for violating the WWE’s wellness policy, Evan Bourne will make his anticipated return to Raw. The tag team of Kofi Kingston and Bourn form the kid-friendly Air Boom. As long as they make the company money, Vince McMahon will march them out there.

Rumor: PWIinsider.com are the ones that broke the story, but with all the last-minute changes from the management to the script, there is no guarantee you will see him on television.
