Andre Johnson Injury: Update on Texans Star's Hamstring Injury

Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson hobbled off the field during the second half of his team's game Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons with a hamstring injury, according to Jason La Canfora of NFL.com.

Johnson's hamstring has limited him to five games this season. He went into the locker room after suffering the injury, according to the Falcons' team Twitter account.

After losing Matt Schaub and Matt Leinart for the season with injuries, the Texans have been dealt another blow to a very important offensive player.

Fantasy Impact

Andre Johnson has not made much of an impact this season and he has been a risky start the whole year.

He has caught just 27 passes for 374 yards and two touchdowns this season. I would not start him at all for the rest of the season.

Who's the Backup?

Kevin Walter becomes the No. 1 wide receiver with Johnson out of the lineup. Tight end Owen Daniels and running back Arian Foster are two other very good pass-catchers for the Texans.

The Texans are currently 8-3 in first place in the AFC South division, two games ahead of the Tennessee Titans.

They offense has done well without him, but with TJ Yates at quarterback, not having an elite receiver will hurt the Texans.

If Johnson misses more time the impact could be really devastating. The Texans have a great running game, but with a young and inexperienced quarterback without a top receiver, defenses will find it easier to defend Houston.
