BCS Bowl Predictions: Non-BCS Bowls That Will Put the Orange Bowl to Shame
Those who think BCS bowls are the only bowls worth watching are kidding themselves.
The Orange Bowl matchup between Clemson, who has lost three of their last four, and a West Virginia, who lost to Louisville at home, is going to be put to shame by a couple of must-see non-BCS bowls.
Here are two non-BCS bowl matchups that would leave fans on their feet.
Cotton Bowl
Projected Matchup: Baylor vs. Arkansas
Robert Griffin III is a Heisman Trophy contender and Arkansas had a legitimate shot at the National Championship when they took on LSU as the No. 3 team in the country.
It's hard to believe that two teams of this caliber didn't crack BCS bowls, but them colliding in bowl season makes for a dream matchup.
Baylor's explosive offense against an underrated Arkansas team that generates 37.4 PPG? Fireworks are inevitable.
Outback Bowl
Projected Matchup: Michigan State vs. Georgia
Michigan State fell just short to Wisconsin, but they certainly proved their worth by hanging with the Rose Bowl representative until the very end in the Big Ten Championship.
Michigan State has just three losses, wins over Michigan and Wisconsin, and a defense that allows 17.5 PPG.
Georgia went to the SEC championship and though LSU took them down in the second half, the Bulldogs won 10 straight coming into that game. Michigan State and Georgia are two high-profile teams that produce an unforgettable game.
