Week 13 Fantasy Football Rankings: Stars Who'll Shine on Monday Night Football

Kyle VassaloDec 4, 2011

Even if you find yourself trailing by an embarrassing margin after Sunday's games are in the books, there are a few guys who are playing on Monday night who can bail you out.

The Jaguars and Chargers aren't exactly putting forth a game with ridiculous playoff implications, but there isn't a shortage of fantasy superstars.

Here are three fantasy stars who'll shine on Monday Night Football.

Maurice Jones-Drew, RB, Jaguars

Maurice Jones-Drew is a one-man show in Jacksonville. Their losses prompted the Jags to part ways with Jack Del Rio, but that doesn't mean the offense is going to lie down, lose out and write this one off as a losing season.

Even when the Jaguars struggle, Jones-Drew is a threat to dominate. In his least-productive day, he registered 63 yards and a score against the Texans' stout front seven.

He's now going up against a Chargers defense that allows 131.9 rushing YPG. Greg Manusky's "D" has had no answer against the run and this game should be no different.

Ryan Mathews, RB, Chargers

Ryan Mathews has been up and down this season, but with 137 yards on the ground last week, you can expect the Chargers to look to him once again this week.

The Jaguars have the most underrated defense in the NFL, but their run defense has been hit or miss this season.

They allow 109.1 rushing YPG and with Mathews coming on late in the season, don't be surprised to see him break through for a monster day.

Vincent Jackson, WR, Chargers

Vincent Jackson has four games of over 100 yards and five games with under 50 yards. He's alternated big games with games where he disappears like clockwork.

He went AWOL last week, racking up just 25 yards on two catches. The pattern he has developed this season suggests that he's going to bounce back and explode for a monster game.

Jackson is a big fan of coming up big after he doesn't show up. You can count on him to take over on the big stage.
