Week 13 Fantasy Football Start 'Em, Sit 'Em: Roy Helu and RBs Who Will Struggle

Austin GreenDec 3, 2011

With the fantasy football playoffs coming soon, you can't afford poor performances from your starting running backs.

These three guys have been solid this season, but have tough matchups in Week 13. If you have other decent options, you may want to sit the following running backs.

Steven Jackson

Jackson has struggled the past two weeks and I expect his troubles to continue on Sunday.

He's playing against San Francisco, who has the best run defense in the league.

They allow just 75.5 rushing yards per game and still have yet to give up a rushing touchdown.

Jackson has 813 yards and four touchdowns this season, but he won't be adding much to those totals this week.

I'm expecting 80 yards and no touchdowns from Jackson in Week 13.

Michael Bush

Bush has done an excellent job filling in for Darren McFadden, but the Miami Dolphins will shut him down.

Miami is seventh in the league in rushing yards allowed per game (97.5). They've also allowed just three touchdowns on the ground this season.

Bush is a great option going forward because of his prowess around the goal line. But against the Dolphins, I'd put him on the bench.

Roy Helu

Helu burst onto the scene in his first game as Washington's feature back. He put up 162 total yards and a touchdown against a pretty solid Seattle defense.

However, I don't think he'll have a repeat performance this week.

He's facing Rex Ryan and a Jets team that desperately needs a win to keep pace in the AFC playoff race. Last week, the Jets held C.J. Spiller to just 55 yards on 19 carries.

I'm expecting another suffocating game from them on Sunday. Helu is an intriguing option, but he won't have huge numbers this week.
