WWE: When Will Triple H Return to Monday Night Raw?

Drake OzDec 5, 2011

On the Oct. 24 edition of Monday Night Raw, Kevin Nash attacked Triple H with a sledgehammer and suffered a storyline fractured vertebrae in the process.

Many of us thought that Triple H would return and get his revenge on Nash at Survivor Series. Didn’t happen.

We then looked to the episode of Raw after the pay-per-view, thinking that The Game would come back then. Didn’t happen, either.

So, we began thinking that Triple H might make his way back to the ring on some random episode of Raw prior to WWE TLC. Of course, that didn’t happen.

OK, so now it’s becoming even more of a guessing game as to when Triple H will make his triumphant return to Monday Night Raw, rekindle his rivalry with Nash and finally face him one-on-one.

Let’s do just that then: Guess.

The most recent report on Triple H vs. Nash, courtesy of PWInsider.com (via WrestleZone.com), is that the bout will take place at an upcoming pay-per-view. But which one?

"

PWInsider.com is reporting that the planned Kevin Nash vs Triple H match might be pushed back yet again, this time to WWE's Royal Rumble PPV.

The match was penciled in for Survivor Series this year, but was then pushed back to TLC, but with neither Nash nor Triple H appearing on last night's Raw, there is talk that the bout might be pushed back yet again.

"

I hate to burst the WWE’s bubble, but the company has already screwed up this feud royally.

Keep in mind that Nash returned to the WWE all the way back in August at SummerSlam, hasn’t actually wrestled on TV or pay-per-view yet and essentially has been building up his feud with Triple H for well over four months. Yet, here we are nearing 2012, and this feud still hasn’t resulted in a singles match.

The creative team has stretched out this Nash/Triple H feud for so long that I have little to no interest in it anymore, and I just want Triple H to return, face Nash and then have Nash move on, hopefully to some place that isn’t on my TV screen.

All that being said, I actually think the WWE could use Triple H’s services at the moment, so I’m going to predict when I think he’ll come back.

I was one of those guys who was duped into thinking that Triple H would actually return before Survivor Series “against doctors orders” and have a match with Nash at the pay-per-view. When that didn’t happen, I thought to myself, “OK, then it’s gonna happen at TLC.”

Apparently, I was wrong again.

Now, with news that Nash vs. Triple H is likely going to take place at Royal Rumble—although I question if that’s actually the case, either—it’s essentially pointless to bring The Game back before the TLC pay-per-view.

The WWE has still only announced one match for the show, CM Punk doesn’t have a clear-cut opponent for his WWE Championship match at the pay-per-view, and the company’s primary focus should be building toward that show considering that it takes place in less than two weeks.

All bringing Triple H back before then is going to accomplish is taking away from a pay-per-view that already has no build and no distinct direction.

Therefore, if I’m on the creative team, I don’t have Triple H’s return before or at TLC. I have it take place on the episode of Monday Night Raw immediately after that pay-per-view.

That way, we can get Triple H’s return and altercation with Nash out of the way that week—since it will probably take up a huge portion of the show—and then start really focusing on the World title matches and Rumble favorites as we head to the Royal Rumble in January.

Maybe I’m making a mistake here in trusting the not-so-trustworthy creative team, but I’m thinking that is in fact what it will do here. If there’s no reason to bring Triple H back before or at TLC, then the WWE shouldn’t.

And, unless for some godforsaken reason they want to waste precious pay-per-view time on a TV quality segment like Triple H’s return, they won’t.
