San Diego Chargers vs. Jacksonville Jaguars: Spread Info, Line and Predictions
Monday Night Football brings us a game between teams that are doing nothing more but finishing out their seasons. The 4-7 San Diego Chargers go on the road to take on the 3-8 Jacksonville Jaguars.
Still, while the playoffs aren't in the futures of either team, the game itself actually looks to be quite competitive.

Spread
Chargers (-3), according to Bodog.eu
Given their terrible losing skid, it's hard to invest a lot of confidence in the Chargers. Still, the Jaguars aren't a good team at all. Go for the win and cover for San Diego.
Over/Under
38.5, according to Bodog.eu
Go under. Neither offense gives me a lot of confidence to think that they will get to more than about 20 points. The loser won't pick up enough of the slack.
Key Injuries
Per Chargers.com
Chargers' DE Luis Castillo, LB Na'il Diggs, and T Brandyn Dombrowski didn't participate in practice.
Chargers' DE Corey Liuget had limited participation in practice.
Chargers' WR Malcom Floyd, TE Antonio Gates, G Tyronne Green, LB Shaun Phillips, and G Louis Vasquez had full participation in practice.
Per Jaguars.com
Jaguars’ DE Matt Roth is doubtful.
Jaguars’ DT Terrance Knighton is questionable.
Jaguars’ LB Kevin Bentley, FB Brock Bolen, DE John Chick, S Chris Prosinski, WR Cecil Shorts III, OT Guy Whimper, and CB Ashton Youboty are probable.
Fantasy Big Plays
Either defense is a good play. This won't be high scoring and promises to be filled with turnovers.
The most reliable skill player from either team is Maurice Jones-Drew. He'll certainly be heavily featured.
On that note, I like Ryan Mathews from the Chargers. Clearly, a pass-heavy offense can't get the job done for San Diego.
Keys to Chargers' Win
Don't turn the ball over. This team could be one of the AFC's best teams if they didn't turn it over so much. It's too late to save this season, but they need to start getting into a good habit now.
Keys to Jaguars' Win
Logic would say that they have to rely heavily on Maurice Jones-Drew. I agree with that, but only to a degree. At some point, they need to turn Blaine Gabbert loose. I like this game as the time to do that.
Prediction: Chargers 20, Jaguars 13
Neither team is playing for anything more than pride at this point. I am going with the Chargers. They are the better team.
