Deion Sanders Gives Your Favorite Lead NFL Writer a Makeover
If you happened to pick up a copy of GQ or ESPN: The Magazine this month, you probably noticed the six-page Van Heusen advertorial featuring yours truly.
The spread featured images of me and two other prominent NFL bloggers from other websites taken "before" and "after" our wardrobe overhauls and stylings. This was part of the clothing company's "Institute Of Style" campaign, featuring NFL greats Deion Sanders, Jerry Rice and Steve Young.
Joe Fortenbaugh, Chris Thorman and I were flown in to the Van Heusen offices in New York City for photo shoots and, I'm not kidding, the image you're looking at now is the very first pose I did for them. We should have just stopped right there and saved everyone two extra hours.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Here's some of what Van Heusen had to say about my "look." Notice all of the polite ways that they discuss my lardassery (emphasis added):
""Josh was most interested in finding clothes to fit his strong frame."
"[E]ither his clothes were too tight or too loose. We tackled his wardrobe with a layered style that trimmed this linebacker's look."
"
In all seriousness, this was fun to be part of with Deion (whom we met and later interviewed at the kickoff event for Blogs With Balls 4 last September) and all the cool people at PVH. And you can't argue with the clothes.
I'm sure all of you will be running out to get GQ and ESPN: The Magazine and have this hanging in your respective offices before the end of the day.
