Week 13 Fantasy Football Rankings: Rating the Week's 5 Best TEs

Zach KruseDec 2, 2011

In Week 13 of the NFL season, the following five tight ends are the five best plays:

1. Rob Gronkowski, Patriots

Gronkowski saw just four targets in Week 12, but he caught each one of them and found the end zone again. He now has 11 touchdowns in 12 games. The Colts have been pretty good against tight ends in 2011 (seventh vs. opposing fantasy tight ends), but there's no reason to think they can handle a guy as talented as Gronkowski over 60 minutes.

2. Jimmy Graham, Saints

The Giants absolutely couldn't handle Graham on Monday night, as he caught five passes for 84 yards and two scores. The Lions matchup isn't as bad as it sounds, either. When facing the three teams on their schedule with elite tight ends (Dallas, Atlanta, Green Bay), the Lions have allowed 232 yards and a score. Graham should have another big day in a game that shapes up to be a shootout.

3. Jason Witten, Cowboys

Witten hasn't cracked 100 yards receiving since Week 2, but he's still seeing plenty of targets, especially in the red zone. The Cardinals secondary has enough leaks that Witten may be able to get back to the century mark this weekend. At the very least, the Cowboys should have a good number of opportunities inside the 20-yard-line for Witten to get a chance at a score.

4. Jermichael Finley, Packers

It's been a somewhat disappointing season for fantasy owners of Finley, and especially over the past two weeks, in which Finley has just three catches for 68 yards. He's due for one of his big receiving days. Who better to allow it than the Giants, who were torched by Jimmy Graham in the week prior?

5. Antonio Gates, Chargers

Since returning from injury, Gates has at least four catches in every game. That's the kind of consistency you've come to expect from a healthy Gates. He also has four scores during that stretch, so he should be one of the safer bets each week from here on out.
