WWE News: John Morrison Removed from WWE.com Roster Page

Gone Baby GoneDec 2, 2011

Well I guess it's official, wrestling101.com is reporting that JoMo's contract ended November 30th.

After reading that article, I decided to scope out the WWE.com roster page and Morrison is nowhere to be found. It's still hard to tell if this is a work or not. As the WWE has recently removed stars from their roster page to further a storyline. You may remember back in October The Miz and R-Truth were "fired" and had their profiles removed to further the angle.

The reason why I am skeptical is simply due to John Laurinaitis's WWE.com video that was posted earlier this week. In that video he is asked about Morrison's contract status. This is the first time since the CM Punk angle that a wrestlers contract was talked about openly.

In that interview he stated:

"

Your contract was coming up in the next couple of weeks anyway. Judging by your win-loss record, I wasn't going to sign you anyway.

"

To me, this could have been taken two different ways. The first theory being that Laurinaitis was speaking as the Raw GM and was not re-signing Morrison to Raw, which leaves him wide open to sign with SmackDown.

The second theory is that Morrison really is done with the WWE and may have burned some bridges during the Melina era.

Here is one thing that supports my first theory. Jim Ross commented on the situation, recently stating:

"

I can see John taking a few months, perhaps even a year, off. Heal, recharge his batteries and then return to WWE.

"

Now, this is all purely speculation, but there has also been a huge buzz about Morrison heading to TNA. As I reported last week, they are rumored to have a plan in place for both JoMo and Melina if he were indeed to head south.

Morrison has been pretty quiet about the whole thing since a tweet over Thanksgiving weekend where he stated the following about his status:

"

I'll post more about the future next week. Right now I'm planning on tearing the house down at Raw tomorrow in Columbia, S.C.

"

I guess we shall see what happens over the next few weeks and months.
