WWE Month in Review: Top 5 Moments from November 2011
What a month for WWE! We all saw many events take place in the last 30 days, but only a few stood out in the eyes of the WWE Universe. Raw and Smackdown both had excellent shows.
Today, I am going to give my five best moments from November. While I think the top slot is obvious, there are a few surprises here.
5. Mick Foley Back on Raw!
1 of 5This was a very nice moment to witness. Not for me. Not for WWE. Not even for fans.
This moment was for Mick Foley. He was gone for three years, but he was finally back "home." It had to feel great. Very memorable night.
4. CM Punk Wins WWE Title
2 of 5I would have held off on the title change for one more month, but the crowd in New York City more than convinced me. They wanted Punk to win the gold, and they wanted it badly!
That being said, I can't rate this too highly because Punk has won the title now two (maybe even counting three) times in less than four months. He captured the gold at Money in the Bank. Then he unified the gold at Summerslam (some would count that as a new reign), and he won the belt again in November.
I think his reign is going to be very long, and it all began in November. Great moment at Madison Square Garden a couple weeks ago!
3. Awesome Truth Break Up
3 of 5Amazing ending to WWE Raw!
This is what Monday nights are all about in the wrestling business. We had a hot crowd watching two great talents ready to attack each other at a moment's notice.
R-Truth and The Miz had a nice run as a team, but it was never going to last long. It was always going to be a short-term move, and WWE ended their partnership perfectly.
2. Mark Henry Defeats Daniel Bryan
4 of 5I had to include one match for this list, and it was either this or Dolph Ziggler vs. CM Punk from a Raw episode a few weeks ago. Well, this one had more importance, thus it got the recognition.
Mark Henry had yet another amazing match during his World title run. Of course, he retained the gold. Daniel Bryan, on the other hand, also did his part in the main event.
Bryan's "booking" has not been very good the past few weeks, but he can go in the ring. Nobody will ever be able to take that away from him.
On this night, both guys had an excellent steel cage match for the Blue Brand, and one thing was made very clear by the end of the night: Mark Henry is NEVER, ever losing his World title!
1. The Rock's First Match in 7 Years
5 of 5The Rock last wrestled on March 14th, 2004. It was at Madison Square Garden in New York City at Wrestle Mania XX.
His return match was at the same building, in the same city, for the same WWE Universe. Everybody loved the match, and Rocky looked as sharp as ever.
It was a moment nobody will ever forget, and it was easily the best moment in the past month. What does December 2011 hold for WWE? Only time will tell...
