Week 13 Fantasy Football Rankings: Tim Tebow and NFL QBs Who Will Keep Rising

Josh MartinDec 1, 2011

Fantasy football quarterbacks seem to be crawling out of the NBA's woodwork on a weekly basis at this point in the season. With the dearth of quality, healthy signal callers below the likes of Aaron Rodgers, Ben Roethlisberger and Tom Brady, look for these three guys to climb their way up the rankings with solid performances against subpar opponents this weekend.

Tim Tebow

Say what you want about Tim Tebow as a real-life NFL quarterback, but the guy's been about as consistent as virtually possible from a fantasy standpoint. He's produced well into double-digit fantasy points in each of his six starts this season, and there's no reason to think that will change against a Vikings defense that ranks 29th against the pass.

Heck, you might even see Timmy complete a forward pass for once! And that's got to be worth at least a few fantasy brownie points, right?

Like Tebow, Alex Smith doesn't come off like a top-flight signal caller, though that shouldn't necessarily dissuade you from giving him a look in fantasy land. Smith had a streak of seven games with at least one touchdown pass broken against the Ravens last week, though it's tough to blame anyone for not producing a fantasy point bonanza against Baltimore's D.

The Rams should prove much more amenable to Smith's desires on the field, especially now that their secondary is banged-up and their pass rush may be without Chris Long.

Matt Moore

I always used to get Matt Moore and Derek Anderson mixed up in my mind, mostly because both guys played at Oregon State and both were by-and-large below-average NFL quarterbacks.

That is, until Moore removed himself from that conversation this season. Moore has come on strong for the Dolphins of late, at least since Miami figured out how best to utilize his talents and (not surprisingly) started winning games.

He'll enjoy playing against the Raiders on Sunday, whose defense is the fifth-friendliest in the NFL for opposing fantasy QBs.

And, of course, regular QBs.
