When: Saturday, Dec. 3 at 8:00 p.m. EST

Spread: Oklahoma State -3.5

This is going to be an extremely close Bedlam game and these two teams absolutely hate each other.

If you are going to make a play, I think you take the Pokes, as their offense should be able to eventually overwhelm and wear down the Sooners defense.

After losing a heartbreaking to Iowa State that could have ended their national championship chances, the Pokes should play with a chip on their shoulder.

They have also had extra time to prepare for this game, since they were idle last week and that should pay dividends.

Over/Under: 71.5

Over. We have the No. 2 and No. 8 scoring offenses in the country squaring off in this game. Neither side particularly possesses a strong defense and are both vulnerable to powerful passing attacks.

It’s going to be a shootout between the No. 2 and 3 passing offenses and I think the total eclipses 100 points, easily going over the 71.5 line.

Key Injuries

Oklahoma

DE Frank Alexander—PRB (Shoulder)—The impact senior DE had to leave the last game with a shoulder stinger but ended up returning to action. They need him to get to Brandon Weeden as he is the sack and tackle-for-loss leader on the team.

Oklahoma State

No Major Recent Injuries to Report

BCS/Top 25 Poll Implications

This is the No. 10 team traveling to take on the No. 3 team. There are tons of implications here.

Oklahoma State still has a small chance of moving into the national championship game if they can convincingly win.

Regardless of who comes out on top, a BCS bowl is on the line for the Big 12 champion.

Both of these teams are going to fight tooth and nail to win and make one of five most prestigious bowls in all of college football.

OK State has a little bit more motivation to get it as they haven’t beaten their most hated rival in nine years and would love to jump past idle Alabama to play LSU in the BCS championship game.

Keys to Oklahoma Win

Don’t be overconfident. Just because this team has won the last nine Bedlam series does not mean they are going to waltz into Boone Pickens Stadium and automatically win this game.

It’s going to be a bloodbath and the most prepared team is going to come away with the victory. If Oklahoma wants that Big 12 title, they had better be ready to fight for it, even during the practices leading up to the game.

Keys to Oklahoma State

Get Weeden and Justin Blackmon going early. If the Pokes can get these two guys in a rhythm early, they will start churning out yardage and scores like no one else in college football can.

Oklahoma has proven they are suspect on defense after Baylor torched them for 616 yards in a loss a few weeks ago. OK State should follow that game plan.

Prediction

Oklahoma State 52—Oklahoma 47
