WWE "It Begins": Does the WWE Even Need Chris Jericho?
There is a lot of speculation that WWE's new "It begins" teaser videos are for the return of Chris Jericho, and it is no surprise given the way he has been brought into the company in the past with similar confusing messages.
Jericho is a world class wrestler who has proven he will one day belong in the hall of fame. He could never enter another wrestling ring and still be regarded by many as one of the best ever.
However, he is not only interested in wrestling. He has many other projects, including his band—Fozzy—who have been on tour recently.

There are plenty of reasons to want Jericho to come back and wrestle again, but the big question is whether or not we actually need Jericho in WWE again.
Don't get me wrong, I like Chris Jericho. I have been a fan of his since he was in WCW with his Lionheart gimmick. I think there are few who would stack up to him in terms of talent and charisma.
The problem is, if Jericho returns, would it be one too many cooks in the kitchen? WWE has a lot of talent getting pushed right now who might suffer if the company does not have the desire to have so many people on top.
Since Jericho left, we have seen guys like Cody Rhodes, Wade Barrett, Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, CM Punk, Alberto Del Rio and R-Truth carve their own paths and earn the respect of the fans.
Meanwhile, there are guys like Randy Orton, John Cena, the injured Rey Mysterio, Christian and Triple H who have been world champions and led the company in their own way.
Adding Jericho to the mix would no doubt be entertaining, but it might be too much in terms of guys fighting for the top spot.
I could be wrong and Jericho coming back could help to revitalize WWE in some way, but I have the feeling that he would be back to being just another part of the show after a few months.
In my opinion, his last run with WWE—while successful—did not yield his most entertaining moments. I get him wanting to adjust his gimmick, but the slow-talking heel was nothing compared to the outspoken rock star he used to be in terms of entertainment value.
Jericho might not even be returning, so all this speculation could end up being pointless. However, if he does come back, he really needs to do something exciting to make it worth all the hype.
Are you looking forward to a Jericho return?
