Anna Benson: Controversial Baseball Wife Should Join Kardashian Family

When you think of Kim Kardashian and the merry band of misfits that make up her entire family, the first description that comes to mind is: Money-grubbing, attention-starved, fame-seeking idiots that will do whatever they have to in order to draw ratings on their God-awful television show.

That same sentiment can be said about Anna Benson, who is the "star"—and that term is being used very loosely—of the VH1 show "Baseball Wives," which debuted on Wednesday night. 

Apparently the term "baseball wife" is also being used loosely, because Benson's husband, Kris, hasn't pitched in the majors since April 2010. 

But because she is controversial and edgy, the producers made her the star of the show. She gets top billing, and all the headlines surrounding this trash involve her and an incident involving something that she took out of her purse and used to attack a fellow "Baseball Wife."

Benson knows that just sitting around in a circle and talking with other women isn't going to draw ratings, unless it airs at 11 a.m. and changes its name to "The View," so she is going to do anything she can to make sure that people tune in and talk about what they see. 

If people are talking about Benson and her antics on a television show, she is going to get endorsement deals and make money and stay relevant in society. I love society nowadays, when all you have to do is be attractive and controversial to get headlines and become famous. 

But considering everything that Benson does to stay relevant, how is she not already an unofficial member of the Kardashian family?

Sure, they work for competing networks, but a little crossover could blow the ratings through the roof. Benson could guest star on "Kourtney and Kim Take New York" as the stripper with a heart of gold, since that was her job before she married Kris.
