NFL Predictions: Tim Tebow Will Have a Career Game Against the Minnesota Vikings
With a Week 13 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings, the Denver Broncos find themselves with their easiest opponent since squeaking by the Miami Dolphins in Week 7.
Since then, Denver has gone on an improbable run behind an improbable quarterback and a great defense that continues to put wins up on the board.
Tim Tebow and the Broncos are gaining steam and confidence, ready to make a playoff run.
Here's why Week 13 will be the best game of Tim Tebow's career.
Passing
1 of 3You can bet the ninth-ranked rush defense of the Vikings will be focused on the Broncos top-ranked rushing attack led by Tebow and Willis McGahee.
The Broncos have an opportunity to pick apart the Vikings bad pass defense as a result of their cheating on the run.
With Jared Allen and the Vikings defense trying to clog the middle, Tebow will be in his comfort zone, rolling out to multiple options and being able to throw the way that seems to make him most accurate.
Once Tebow begins to spread the field on the Vikings, that will open up the ground attack enough to make this his best offensive output through the air this season.
Tebow's passing stats: 16-28, 217 yards, one touchdown
Rushing
2 of 3The Vikings tough rush defense will make McGahee's day on the ground pretty difficult. Don't expect him to break 100 yards in this game.
Tebow, with the help of his deceptive offensive style, has the ability to gain yards on any defense in the NFL.
The second half is when the Tebow rushing attack will take form, taking advantage of a Vikings defense that has been on the field all game as a result of a bad offense. Denver has shown they can take advantage of a tired defense with their unconventional option offense.
Denver will stick to more of a ground and pound style, finding more success running the ball than they did in the first half.
Tebow will once again put the game away late, this time adding to a lead and not having to take it.
Tebow rushing stats: 18 carries, 123 yards, one touchdown.
Broncos 24, Vikings 10
3 of 3This is a game where the Broncos could be in danger of a let down because of the tough games they've played during their winning streak.
But I don't expect that to happen with Denver establishing an early lead in this game and never relinquishing it.
The Broncos will have a tough time on the ground in the first half so Tebow will move the ball through the air. That being the case, expect a 10-7 first half and all the Tebow doubters coming out of the woodwork.
The second half will feature a tired Vikings' defense which Tebow and the Broncos will exploit, switching to their ground game heavy and moving the ball down the field.
After a few wins with field position, the Broncos will get in the end zone a few more times, possibly with one of them being a defense touchdown with an inept Minnesota passing attack.
It'll be a 17-10 game late in the fourth quarter, but Tebow will once again prove to be too much and score a late touchdown, putting the game out of reach, 24-10.
