Big Ten Championship: Keys to Betting Michigan State vs. Wisconsin
The Big Ten Championship this year features Michigan State and Wisconsin squaring off for the second time this season.
Sparty pulled off the big upset in their first matchup and handed the Badgers their first loss. It also ended their National Title hopes that they had this year.
Will they pull off another surprise victory in Indianapolis for the right to go to the Rose Bowl?
I wouldn’t bet on it.
Here are the locks to bet on Saturday for the Big Ten Championship game.
Wisconsin -9.5
The Badgers finally figured out their road difficulties against Minnesota and Illinois after dropping the first two games away from Camp Randall to Michigan State and Ohio State.
Now they are going to a neutral site and are poised to show the nation that they are the class of their conference.
I expect it to be close early but like their matchup earlier in the season against Nebraska, Wisconsin will pull away in the middle of the game and hold on for the easy victory.
There will be no miracle Hail Mary plays to keep this close for the Spartans.
Over 55
Wisconsin will have no qualms with running up the score and coming damn near close to covering this spread by themselves.
They are the fourth-highest scoring team in the nation and are able to score on anyone, even Michigan State’s sixth-ranked defense.
They’ve already proved it and in their first meeting the teams combined for 68 points on a game in which the O/U was set at 50.5.
I think this one will be even higher scoring as the stakes are actually lower for the Badgers and they just want to get revenge on the team that killed their National Title dreams.
The Rose Bowl is no joke, but it’s a consolation prize to this team that really could have been talking about playing LSU for the title if they hadn’t slipped up against Sparty and let it get to them against Ohio State.
Look for Wisconsin to win this big, cover the spread and easily go over the point total.
