WWE News: Latest on Chris Jericho, "Second 2012" and His Possible WWE Return
The WWE recently started promoting a cryptic YouTube video, which indicates that a big superstar will make his return to the company on Jan. 2, 2012.
When the video first aired, two possible names immediately came to mind as to who the video is meant for: Chris Jericho or The Undertaker.
The widespread belief is that the mysterious video is promoting the return of one of these two legends. So, which one is it?

From F4Wonline.com (via WrestleNewz.com):
"As noted before, several people within WWE indicate that the cryptic videos that have been airing are for Chris Jericho’s return in January. At the same time, some believe that the videos are for The Undertaker and speculation is that they’re meant for Jericho but if something falls through with his deal, they can be used for Taker’s return.
It has been confirmed that Jericho and WWE had a recent falling out over him not being included in the WWE ’12 video game. One WWE source made the point that Jericho may have missed out on five-figure royalties from not being in the video game but he wouldn’t let that cause him to miss out on a big WrestleMania payday.
"
Personally, I think the videos are promoting the return of The Undertaker, not Chris Jericho.
This sort of reminds me of the “2.21.11” situation earlier this year, when most of us thought that Sting was coming to the WWE just in time for WrestleMania. As it turned out, however, the promos were meant for 'Taker.
I’m feeling deja vu all over again.
I want the video to be for Jericho, I want him to appear on Jan. 2 and I want him to face CM Punk at WrestleMania 28. But after being let down with the last cryptic video the WWE had, I’m prepared for it to happen again.
All indications are that Jericho and the WWE aren’t on the greatest of terms right now, and unlike The Undertaker, he isn’t under WWE contract at the moment. Well, as far as we know, he isn’t.
I do think there’s a slight possibility that the video is meant to promote Jericho’s return, but—and maybe it’s just me—the mysterious aura of the promo fits The Undertaker more than it does Jericho.
If it is 'Taker, I think the WWE is going about this the wrong way because they’re making this video out to be a huge deal, and though I respect 'Taker for everything he’s done, his return to the company is not as important as Jericho’s at the moment.
Given that Jericho hasn’t been around for over a year, I know that I’m hoping it’s him instead.
That being said, Jericho’s reported sour relationship with the WWE has me prepared to see 'Taker on the second day of January.
