Urban Meyer: Former Texas Coach Tim Brewster Could Be Latest to Join Buckeyes

Urban Meyer has a ton of expectations to fill after accepting the head coaching job at Ohio State and it appears that he is wasting no time in building the right team around him.

Yesterday the rumors were that he is trying to pull away Greg Studrawa from LSU and give him the offensive coordinator job at Ohio State.

Now, Fox Sports reporter Tim Brewster may be on the list to join the Buckeyes as well. Brewster has coaching experience since 1986 and was an excellent recruiter during his time at Texas under Mack Brown. He helped the Longhorns land several key players including star quarterback Vince Young, who helped Texas win a national championship in 2006.

He was then a tight end coach for both the Denver Broncos and San Diego Chargers. He is given credit for helping develop star tight end Antonio Gates, who went from an undrafted player to an All-Pro.

He was then a head coach for the Minnesota Golden Gophers for four seasons, but his time there didn't go so well. He finished with a 15-30 record and lost the two bowl games they qualified for. His contract was later terminated in 2010.

Brewster may not be a great coach, but he is an excellent recruiter and talent evaluator. Adding him to the Ohio State team could really be a huge advantage for getting the Buckeyes to where they're trying to go.
