Week 12 Fantasy Rankings: The Top 5 Quarterbacks

Gary DavenportNov 26, 2011

A few of the bigger-name fantasy quarterbacks have already taken the field this week, including Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers, who once again topped 300 passing yards and threw another pair of touchdown passes in a win over the Detroit Lions.

However, there are still of plenty of big guns yet to fire any touchdown passes this weekend, so here's a look at the top five remaining fantasy signal-callers for Week 12.

5. Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers (at KC)

1 of 5

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is hampered by a broken right thumb, but the eighth-year veteran has been known to thrive with nagging injuries and doesn't exactly face a fearsome opponent this week.

4. Tim Tebow, Denver Broncos (at SD)

2 of 5

It's nearly as painful for me to type this as it is to watch him play quarterback, but the simple fact is that Tim Tebow's rushing numbers make him a very viable fantasy starter, especially in a favorable matchup such as this week's tilt with the San Diego Chargers.

3. Tom Brady, New England Patriots (at PHI)

3 of 5

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is enjoying another stellar campaign in his 12th season in the National Football League, and the Golden Boy will likely continue to post big numbers against a Philadelphia Eagles defense that is now without the services of cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha.

2. Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers (at IND)

4 of 5

Quarterback Cam Newton of the Carolina Panthers has exploded into NFL prominence and fantasy stardom in his rookie season, and fantasy football's most unlikely stud in 2011 will likely keep on rolling against a bad Colts defense that has given up the fourth-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks.

1. Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints (vs. NYG)

5 of 5

Drew Brees ranks fifth at his position in fantasy points entering Week 12, but the New Orleans Saints quarterback should be set to shine under the lights on Monday night against a New York Giants secondary that ranks a mediocre 18th in the National Football League against the pass.
