Week 12 Fantasy Rankings: Jimmy Graham and the Top 5 Tight Ends This Week

Gary DavenportNov 26, 2011

Three of the top fantasy football options at the tight end position have already played this week, and while neither Jason Witten of the Dallas Cowboys nor Vernon Davis of the San Francisco 49ers tore up the box score, they at least had better days than Jermichael Finley of the Green Bay Packers, who had a meager two receptions.

That said there are still any number of quality options still to play this week, and here's a look at the top five fantasy tight ends remaining for Week 12.

5. Fred Davis, Washington Redskins (at SEA)

1 of 5

Washington Redskins tight end Fred Davis has been a top five fantasy option at his position to this point in the season, and the reinsertion of quarterback Rex Grossman into the Redskins' starting lineup should help Davis remain so against the Seattle Seahawks this week.

4. Tony Gonzalez, Atlanta Falcons (vs. MIN)

2 of 5

One day in the not too distant future we'll see tight end Tony Gonzalez of the Atlanta Falcons enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, but for now we'll just have to settle for watching the 35-year-old light up the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.

3. Antonio Gates, San Diego Chargers (vs. DEN)

3 of 5

With 17 receptions for 213 yards and two touchdowns over his past two games, tight end Antonio Gates of the San Diego Chargers appears to be fully healthy (more or less), and that doesn't bode well at all for the Denver Broncos this weekend.

2. Rob Gronkowski, New England Patriots (at PHI)

4 of 5

Fantasy football's top tight end through 11 weeks, Rob Gronkowski of the New England Patriots leads the NFL in touchdown receptions at his position with 10 and should be in for another big day target-wise against the Philadelphia Eagles this week.

1. Jimmy Graham, New Orleans Saints (vs. NYG)

5 of 5

Jimmy Graham of the New Orleans Saints leads all NFL tight ends in receptions and receiving yards this season, and the second-year pro will likely add a fair amount to those totals Monday night given the matchup problems he poses for the New York Giants.
