WWE 12: Brock Lesnar's Spot on Roster Ensures Return to the Ring

T.J. McaloonNov 24, 2011

The latest WWE video game has a number of Legends in their game already, or by downloading them from X-Box Live or the Playstation store. However, the addition of former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar means a return has to come.

Since Lesnar left the WWE in 2004, he has tried making it in the NFL, but failed. Then tried his hand at mixed martial arts with the UFC and has succeeded. Now that Lesnar has been away from the WWE for almost 10 years now, it’s time for his return to the company that made him a household name.

In Lesnar’s short career with the UFC, he’s dominated the sport, while dealing with a career and life-threatening injury. His bacterial infection to his intestine put the UFC champ down for quite a while. However, he was able to battle back to continue his career inside of the UFC.

Now that Brock has recovered from his illness and is one of the UFC’s top draws, it’s time to merge his UFC fans with his WWE fans with a huge return.

If the inclusion in WWE ’12 doesn’t hit at a return for Lesnar, then his interview with ESPN should scream that he has one more match left in him.

"

Jon Robinson: Do you ever think you will go back and have one last WWE match?

Brock Lesnar: I think I will. I think under the right circumstances I will. I think if Vince McMahon and I were able to sit down at the same dinner table and break some bread that we could come up with some kind of game plan. At the end of the day, I'm an ultimate fighter. That's who I am and that's who I'll always be. I was an entertainer but at the end of the day, I'm still as real as it gets. I think a lot of things have to fall in the right places for something like that to happen.

"

Let’s say that Lesnar comes back for one more match. Who would he face then and at what pay-per-view?

The obvious choice for event has to be at a WrestleMania. If it’s not at this year’s ‘Mania, then there has to be a great chance at a return at the following years.

There have been rumors that WrestleMania XXIX could be in Arlington, TX at Cowboys Stadium.

If that comes through, not only would that WrestleMania be in front of over 100,000 people, but it could set up a dream match with the Texas Rattle Snake, Stone Cold Steve Austin.

In that same ESPN interview, Lesnar said this about a match with Austin.

"

Ironically, it's probably the guy that walked out on me. The guy that took his ball and went home. A guy that I was supposed to face and I think that he was just plain downright scared to get in the ring with me because he was one of those guys that was on top and saw a huge threat in Brock Lesnar at the time. That's "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. I worked with everybody and anybody that was anybody there and if I came back, I think the guy that I would come back to fight is "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.

"

Now add that up, WrestleMania in Texas, with Brock wanting one more match and what you have is a dream match between two Legends in Austin vs. Lesnar.
