Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
On Tuesday, I outlined these potential replacements. Therefore, it's only right for me to provide updates to help you monitor their statuses as the games approach.
There has been no fresh news regarding the Michael Vick and Vince Young situation in Philadelphia.
The latest report on the Eagles comes from a ProFootballTalk.com article that was posted yesterday and said that Vick would "test out" his ribs in practice.
After seeing how well Young played in the fourth quarter against the Giants on Sunday, and taking Vick's injury history into account, I'd be shocked if the former Titan wasn't the starter in Foxborough this weekend.
For Matt Hasselbeck owners, or for those who are trying to decide if Jake Locker is worth an add, it looks like the veteran quarterback will play this weekend against the Buccaneers.
There hasn't been any significant setbacks so far this week for Hasselbeck, and despite Locker's somewhat impressive performance in the second half of the Titans' loss to the Falcons, it seems like he won't be the starter in Week 12.
Jerome Simpson is coming off a breakout game against the Ravens last week, when he filled in for the injured A.J. Green. However, according to CincinnatiBengals.com editor Geoff Hobson, Green will practice today (Wednesday).
Unless he re-aggravates his knee, he should go this weekend. Therefore, Simpson's fantasy stock takes a bit of a hit. That being said, it's likely that he will not now be covered by Joe Haden when they take on the Browns.
As for Kevin Smith, start him against the Packers.
The Lions will look to create balance on offense and, if nothing else, Smith will be utilized in the check down passing game.
